'I was not expecting this!' Regina King sparkles in sleeveless white gown as she accepts Emmy award with heartfelt speech
Regina King was completely caught off guard as she attended the Emmys on Sunday.
The 44-year-old actress was shocked once her pals Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard presented her with the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role as Aliyah Shadeed on ABC's American Crime.
The star dazzled in a sleeveless white gown as she took to the stage to accept her award and give a heartfelt speech.

'That Taraji and Terrence presented me with this is pretty special,' the mother-of-one began, after the Empire actress had screamed with joy and congratulated Regina with a big bear hug.
'I should have brought one of those papers all the comedy people had! I was not expecting this,' she added.
'I'm just going to listen to all the love that surrounds me.'

The Jerry Maguire star went on to give a special thanks to her family, friends, and coworkers.
'My amazing mother and grandmother who have taught me the power and the blessing of being a woman,' Regina said.
'This is just absolutely amazing. My son, Ian, the fact that I get to share this night with you, the best date in the house.

Regina's competition was Mo'Nique in Bessie, Zoe Kazan in Olive Kitteridge and American Horror Story: Freak Show's Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates.

This is the first time Regina had even been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.
