Cheeky! Cara Delevingne inadvertently flashes her pert derriere in feathered thigh-skimming LBD as she leads the stars Pan premiere in London

She's one of the leading stars in the brand new big-screen version of Peter Pan.

And as Cara Delevingne attended the world premiere of Pan in London on Sunday afternoon, she made sure all eyes were on her on the red carpet.

The 23-year-old model-turned-actress put on a typically stylish display as she joined her co-stars Hugh Jackman, Rooney Mara and Garrett Hedlund.

But it's fair to say she stole the show in her teeny-tiny little black dress that - when she leant forward to chat to the fans lined up alongside the red carpet - revealed her pert derriere.

The British beauty had opted for a thigh-skimmingly short LBD with a soft feather effect across the skirt, chest and on the capped sleeves.

Adding a racier edge to the look, the sexy little number included sheer panels, giving a glimpse at her trim waistline and shoulders.

However, from behind the dainty dress rode high up on the backs of her thighs, tickling at her backside as she positioned herself over the bars to talk to the keen fans that had waited for hours to see the movie stars.

Whoops! As the 23-year-old leaned forward to chat to her fans along the red carpet, she revealed every inch of her lithe thighs and a glimpse of her derriere

Those in front of her clearly had no inkling that Cara was inadvertently flashing herself - pretty much every inch of her lithe legs on show - as they chatted away to her, but those behind her got a full viewing of her posterior.

Despite her little wardrobe malfunction, which the good-humoured star didn't seem at all fussed about, she continued to show off her lovely ensemble while lapping up the attention under the sunny London skies.

The gorgeous star - who traded a successful career in fashion for Hollywood - completed her dazzling look with a pair of cage-style black heels, adding several more inches to her already lofty frame.

Her dark blonde locks were swept up into a high ponytail with twists of plaits running across her scalp, and she rocked a sultry smokey eye in terms of her make-up.

Pan is tipped to be one of the biggest movies of the year, and is a reworking of the iconic Neverland-based fairytale.

It stars Australian hunk Hugh as leading man Blackbeard, with Cara portraying a mermaid. Rooney takes on the role of Tiger Lily, Garrett plays baddie Hook, and Peter Pan has been brought to life by young up and coming star Levi Miller.

And all the stars - bar Amanda Seyfried, who appears in the movie as Mary - were out in force on the red carpet in Leicester Square in the British capital for the big unveiling.

Rooney looked truly stunning in a gown that wouldn't have looked out of place on the red carpet at the Oscars.

The 30-year-old cut a serene figure in her black dress, that was similar to Cara's in style, complete with racy sheer panels and a textured finish.

But it was long and and flowed almost to the floor, draped loosely over her slender figure and with almost a flamenco dancer vibe, the skirt almost transparent and giving a full view of her legs.

She looked like a vintage, gothic throwback, especially with her black locks pulled back off her face in a sleek style, her milky skin accentuated with just a hint of pink blusher for her turn at the world premiere.

The Girl With The Dragon tattoo actress finished her daytime red carpet look with a pair of towering black strappy heels, and little else, still holding her own against fashion star Cara.

Hugh, meanwhile, looked ever the dapper gent as he mingled with his Pan colleagues and soaked up the atmosphere.

The handsome actor, 46, kept it simple in a crisp grey suit with a white tie and purple tie, looking a world away from his rugged and admittely frightening on-screen alter-ego Blackbeard.

Garrett, 31, also looked sharp, posing alongside Cara and the others in a sleek blue suit and tie.

Other famous faces at the big daytime event included the likes of pink-haired Lily Allen and stylish Suki Waterhouse, who had come straight from the Topshop show during London Fashion Week.

Sporting cartoon-style pink hair extensions, singer Lily looked cute in a denim mini dress which she teamed with black and silver metallic tights.

The 30-year-old added some extra inches to her look with a pair of black suede ankle boots and carried a trusty lime green Chanel bag across her body which added a further pop of colour to her look.

And Suki was a typically gorgeous addition to the turnout, wowing in a super plunging white sleeveless blazer-style top - that revealed much of her ample, braless cleavage - and a pair of loose, wide-legged white culottes.

The 23-year-old model wore her golden blonde locks in a low side-parting, curled into elegant waves.

But it was mostly little Levi's time to shine - for the Australian youngster, Pan is his major movie debut, and he looked right at home on the red carpet along with the likes of Hugh, Cara and Rooney.

The older stars made sure to dote on the suit-clad young gent at the premiere, with Cara even leaning in to grab his face for a kiss on the cheek.

Directed by Joe Wright (Hanna, Pride & Prejudice), Pan is a modern-day reimagining of J. M. Barrie's 1911 fairytale.

Catwalk queen Cara - who is carving out a serious career in Hollywood with roles in big budget comic book movie Suicide Squad and indie flick Paper Towns - plays twin mermaids in the film and looks seriously menacing as she corners young Pan deep underwater in the teaser, that was revealed earlier this summer.

Her strong facial features and long, flowing white blonde hair make her look all the more fearsome as she rounds on the little boy in the dark depths.

But despite her fearsome demeanour, she looks graceful, elegant and lithe as she cuts through the water on a mission of her own with her CGI tail making her look all the more impressive.

Cara reportedly had her work cut out with all the underwater scenes and stunts but has risen to the challenge in her quest to be taken seriously as an actress.

He's a lucky guy! Levi, 12, looked thrilled as he posed between Cara and Suki

He's a lucky guy! Levi, 12, looked thrilled as he posed between Cara and Suki

Talking about her movie career so far, she told news.com.au earlier this year that she's determined to prove herself.

She explained: 'People don't want to think I can act anyway so hopefully I can. And I want to prove everyone wrong because that's my favourite thing in the world.'

Child actor Levi takes on the role of Peter, who is a WWII orphan abducted by Blackbeard (Jackman)'s clownish henchman from his bed at the Lambeth Home for Boys.

He's then spirited away to Neverland in a magical flying ship where he's set to work in the mines.

But it doesn't take long for Peter to be rescued by his future nemesis.

The young James Hook is a modest miner played by Garrett Hedlund, who helps Peter escape slave labour.

Pan will hit US theatres October 6 and arrives in the UK on October 16.
