The event was a star-studded one with the likes of Dame Helen Mirren, Jessica Chastain and Brooke Shields all in attendance.

Jessica chose a clingy peekaboo multi-coloured top, which showed off her trim figure and impressive assets, for the Metropolitan Opera's season opening night of Verdi's Otello.

Go for gold in Helena's J. Crew heels

Helena Christensen always looks ready to hit the catwalk. She swapped fashion for opera at the opening night of Verdi's Otello at the Metropolitan in New York, and it was music to our ears! Well, actually our eyes...

The supermodel looked her usual stunning self in a purple gown with gold glitter embellishment on the shoulders. And not one to do things by halves, Helena completed the look with a gold 3D heart clutch bag and a pair of glittery court heels that perfectly picked up on the detail of her dress.

They're by none other than J. Crew and we love the classic court style and sharp gold toe cap. They're the perfect thing to jazz up a pair of skinny jeans on you next night out, or even to liven up a little black dress during party season. Unfortunately her exact heels are now sold out, but click (right) to buy a similar version now.
