Chelsea are in the midst of an injury crisis but Sidwell may be allowed to leave, according to a report in the News Of The World.

Sunderland boss Keane wants Sidwell on loan while Hughes is set to offer the former England Under-21 star a permanent contract.

The deal is expected to net Chelsea a cool £2million profit if Rovers are successful in replacing Robbie Savage, who is set to join Sunderland or Wigan.
