'Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series' Grand Prize Giveaway!

Doctor WhoThe day has finally arrived when "Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series" lands on shelves, offering fans the chance to bring home The Eleventh Doctor's first season on DVD or Blu-Ray. It's sort of like a holiday, but with more bowtie jokes and a time-traveling police box.

The last few days we've been giving you sneak peeks at the bonus features on the Series Five box set, and even giving away a few sets — accompanied by replicas of the Eleventh Doctor's sonic screwdriver. But today is the big day, so it merits an even bigger giveaway.

In fact, you'll probably argue that "big fan" is a terrible understatement. But let's not bicker over semantics here, folks — let's give you the chance to win some great "Doctor Who" stuff instead.

Hey 'Unbreakable' Fans: This Giveaway Is For You!

By now you're probably well aware of the fondness we have for M. Night Shyamalan's "Unbreakable," one of the first truly dark superhero films of the decade.

We've pestered the director and cast about a potential sequel for years now, and during last weekend's New York Comic Con, MTV News brought Shyamalan into town for a look back on the film 10 years after it first hit theaters. At the event, we gave away a bunch of autographed posters, copies of the movie, and various other promo items at the panel, but look what arrived this week:

Did Someone Say 'Free Comics?'

A few weeks ago, I conducted a grand experiment involving Twitter, the pile of comics that's growing around my desk, and you — the awesome Splash Page readers. It was so successful that, instead of just giving away one pile of random comics, I picked three lucky people to receive a stack of 25 single-issue comics from various publishers. It was so successful, in fact, that I'm going to do it again.

These 'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World' Hats Need A Good Home

Okay, so "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" didn't do as well in theaters as many of us hoped, but for those of us who did buy a ticket (or two or three) and want to keep showing some love to Edgar Wright's awesomely kinetic, retro-tastic adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's comics, this giveaway is for you.

So... I receive a lot of comics in the mail each week. It's one of the perks of the job, but admittedly, it's starting to be an issue around Splash Page HQ. The piles of comics are becoming a little intimidating, and there was a little incident last week in which my office neighbor was buried underneath a fallen stack for a few hours. (Don't worry, she's okay... now.)
