Keanu Reeves was seen kissing a mystery brunette as the two shared a tender moment in Hollywood on Monday. 

Looking slightly dishevelled for the outing, Keanu left his beard long and unkempt, while his coat and jeans were covered in stains. 

But his untidy appearance didn't matter to his female friend, who happily embraced the Canadian actor after spending a romantic evening together.

The Matrix star was seen wearing a khaki jacket with a pair of baggy denim jeans and lace up boots while keeping his face hidden in a red cap.

Keanu sported a longer looking mane for the outing, as strands of his dark hair protruded from underneath his head wear. 

His brunette companion wore her long locks in loose waves, smiling during the date night with her movie star pal.

In June, Keanu was spotted enjoying an intimate dinner date with his Generation Um... co-star Bojana Novakovic in Hollywood. 

The two were reported to be in a relationship but according to US Weekly called off their romance after a year of dating. 

Meanwhile, Keanu was alleged to be romancing his former Sweet November co-star Charlize Theron in 2010.

The actor has been through highs and lows during his life including the 2001 death of his former girlfriend, Jennifer Syme, less than two years after she gave birth to their stillborn daughter.

Keanu told Parade in 2006: 'All you can do is hope that grief will be transformed and instead of feeling pain and confusion you will be together again in memory and there will be solace and pleasure there, not just loss.'

'I don't want to flee from life,' Keanu added. 'I know the beauty of it.'

The actor has thrown himself into work with a plethora of projects on the horizon, including 2016 horror film The Neon Demon and the imminent release of Knock, Knock.
