A 19 stone woman who was often compared to Kim Kardashian for her olive complexion and dark hair lost eight stone to fit into bodycon dresses like her idol.

Verity Sandford, 32, from Cranleigh, Surrey, had ballooned to a size 20 and put pictures of the reality TV star on her fridge and as her phone screen saver for inspiration.

The learning assistant, who is the same height as reality star Kim at 5' 2", said her friends compared her to the pregnant mother-of-one because of her 'big bum', but at the time she was much larger than Kim all over.

Verity has lost 8st 4lb to slip into form fitting clothing and used Kim as her inspiration

Verity, who would scoff greasy burgers when hungover and had a weakness for chips and desserts, now weighs 10st 12lb and wears a size 10 to 12 after sticking to a Weight Watchers regime, losing 8st 4lb in 15 months.

She told The Sun: 'My friends always compared me to Kim when the Kardashians first became well known, because of my big bum.

'But I wasn't able to wear the glam, figure-hugging dresses I wanted to.

'When I decided to lose weight, Kim was the inspiration that kept me going because I absolutely adore her style.

'I stuck pictures of her on my wardrobe and my fridge to keep me motivated.'

Verity admitted she downloaded two images of Kim Kardashian onto her mobile phone with the word 'inspiration' to use as her screen saver.

She blamed her fuller figure on the school canteen and would be eating homemade meals every day of pasta, casseroles or curries.

She also said greasy burgers on a hangover were a weakness and cut out chips, desserts and takeaways from her diet.

But now Verity said her 'waist narrowed but my bum and bust stayed big.'

She's had strangers coming up to her on the street comparing her to Kim and people contacting her online to tell her how similar she looks.

Verity has documented her weight loss on Facebook and posted on Saturday: 'Massive non-scale victory in the shops today, size 10' posting a picture of new jeans she'd bought.

She posted that Kim Kardashian's body was the shape she'd always wanted and said: 'Looking back, don't think I've done too bad.'

Last week she posted a picture on Twitter with the caption 'a lot can be done in 15 months' showing her before the weight loss and her trim figure now.

She said: 'I'm really proud of what I've achieved. I've never felt so sexy.'
