While usually the franchise is accused of setting up drama just for the cameras, things between Gretchen Rossi and Shannon Beador got very heated without the lens being on them on Monday night.

The two ladies from the O.C. started fighting as Bravo's Watch What Happens Live went to advert break.

While the cameras missed the action, host and Housewives creator Andy Cohen certainly did not and as soon as tapes were rolling once more, tried to get to the bottom of what occurred.

While the two co-stars claimed at first that 'nothing' had happened, Andy grilled them further: 'Yes you did, you got into to like two cats in a bag.'

Turns out the two blondes do not see eye-to-eye when it comes to fellow castmate Tamra Judge or her former friend now Gretchen's new bestie Ricky Santana.

According to Gretchen, Shannon has 'drunk the Kool-Aid' when it comes to thinking Tamra can be trusted.

When pushed, Gretchen gave a play-by-play of the off-air rumble: 'Well I asked her about the Ricky comment so I said, ''Apparently you don't like Ricky?'' and she said, ''He is a pot stirrer'' and I said. ''Tamara's the buggiest pot stirrer of them all.''

'And so she went, ''Well I think she has changed,'' and I said, ''Obviously you have drunken the Kool -Aid.''

'So we disagreed on that but that is ok, sometimes we disagree. She didn’t go through the five years of torture that Tamra put me through and I understand where she’s coming from and that’s okay.'

If the little he said/she said fight is anything to go on, looks the like the RHOTOC might be about to get its first male Housewife with Ricky, who served as Tamra's Man of Honour at her wedding, aligning himself with her new enemy Gretchen.

According to Gretchen he has 'a lot of dirt' on Tamra.

However, Gretchen also found herself in the hot seat over her long engagement with Andy demanding to know why she and her fiance of over two years, Slade Smiley, pulled the plug on their nuptials in May.

Asked when will they marry, she responded: 'No we're not married, we are still engaged. I wish I knew [when we should have it]. When shall we get married [Andy], is there a date?'

'The May 23 date we had [but] once we put it out there we realised it was a holiday weekend. We didn’t realise it was Memorial Day weekend or whatever.

'So many of our family members already had trips planned and then Slade got booked to do a mini-series in Mexico.'

While previously the 36-year-old reality star said she did not want to move forward until Slade got his finances together, she said this is no longer holding them back.

'Honestly [his finances] are doing much better... that has nothing to do with us getting married we just don't have a date on calendar right now.'

The star also denied that having children was an issue, saying her husband-to-be does want babies, however, they just disagreed about whether they should be married first.

Of course, no O.C. chat would be complete without touching on this season's biggest drama - whether Vicki Gunvalson's now ex Brooks Ayers has cancer - something he has been accused of faking.

Gretchen knows firsthand what it is like to be with someone with cancer, as she lost her fiance Jeff Beitzel to the illness in 2008.

She told Andy: 'I'm not a doctor so I don't know whether or not [Brooks] has cancer but I do have to say there is a lot of shady shade coming out of what is happening.

'I really do feel like for me with Jeff I wanted help from everyone around me and if someone was questioning that I would have brought out the medical records in 5.2 seconds, so I don't blame the women for questioning it.'

While the medical records being revealed have been brought up as a possibility, whether Brooks will prove he has cancer will be dealt with next week when the Real Housewives Of The O.C. returns to Bravo on Monday.
