'My phone is blowing up!': Thrilled Gwen Stefani shares smiling selfie after finding out about The Voice's win at Emmys

Gwen Stefani didn't know her show The Voice had won an Emmy until her phone was inundated with congratulatory texts and calls.

The singer, 45, shared a smiling selfie from her car with fans on Instagram after hearing the good news on Sunday.

'Omg driving home and my phone is blowing up!!!' she wrote. '@nbcthevoice we just won an #emmy!!!', adding the sign off 'xG' and a cute grateful praying emoji.

Stefani is a judge on singing competition show The Voice, which won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Program at the 2015 Emmys in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The Voice host Carson Daly and reality TV mogul producer Mark Burnett accepted the golden statue at the Microsoft Theater.

But Stefani skipped the awards, and was spotted earlier in the day catching up with a female friend.

Gwen looked relaxed and happy as she left Mexican restaurant Antonio's with her pal on Sunday.

In the sweltering 100F heat, the fashion designer and style icon was dressed down, and flashed her red lace bra beneath a loose grey tank top.

She pulled her platinum blonde hair up in a casual ponytail, and wore her trademark red lipstick.

Three gold necklaces, including a thick chain and a delicate cross, added an extra bit of edge.

Her distinctive long, white nails were on display as she clutched her cell phone while bidding goodbye to her friend. 

The singer added slim capri jeans with distressed detailing to her casual look.

Stefani slung a shiny gold tote bag over her shoulder, and stayed comfortable in cute Roman sandals that showed off her dark red pedicure.

The No Doubt singer filed for divorce from husband Gavin Rossdale last month after 13 years of marriage.

The mother-of-three has kept quiet on rumors of a budding romance with fellow The Voice judge Blake Sheldon, who divorced wife Miranda Lambert in August.
