Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Manzo has a new man in her life, Daily Mail Online can reveal.

The housewife, who left the show after season two but returned for season six, has been secretly dating millionaire car dealership owner, Dave Cantin, 35, a man eight years her junior.

Dina, 43, announced her separation from her husband of seven years, Tommy, back in February. She has a 17-year-old daughter from her first marriage. Cantin separated from his wife, Melissa, more than a year ago and filed for divorce in January.

Until recently he was co-owner and vice president of the hugely successful Hyundai dealership Brad Benson Auto Group based in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. The dealership was sold in July, after 16 years, and Cantin is now a commercial broker.

Speaking to Daily Mail Online Cantin confirmed the relationship but stressed that Dina was not the cause of his split from his wife. He said: 'I've been separated for more than a year and met Dina after that separation. I filed for divorce in January.'

Dina has been separated from Tommy for two years though the couple have yet to finalize their divorce.

Tommy Manzo told Daily Mail Online: 'We've been separated for two years and we're going through finalizing our divorce hopefully in the next few weeks. Now she has her boyfriend, I have my girlfriend we've moved on with our lives.'

Now Dina has abandoned her New Jersey roots and moved to California, funded, according to sources close to the couple, by her younger 'sugar-daddy' who has been footing the bill for the self-proclaimed, 'damned talented event planner, hostess and designer,' since the couple hooked up together more than a year ago.

Just two months ago the star, whose show tagline was, 'I'm back to bring the zen. Namaste bitches!' posted an image on her Instagram account boasting of her swanky Californian rental and stating, 'Never thought my zip code would be #90210.'

Speaking to Daily Mail Online a source close to the family revealed: 'He's her sugar-daddy. He's the one who's put her up in California. She lived in Malibu for a while but now she's in Beverly Hills and he's paying the bills.

'He flies out to be with her and stays at her place and she goes back and forth between California and New Jersey a lot to see him. She stays in a hotel when she visits.'

Eight weeks ago Dina posted on her Instagram account that she 'basically lives on a plane.' And she spent much of the summer between California and the Hamptons where she and Cantin were snapped together at a party on June 26 and where she celebrated July 4th.

But however glamorous her posts may seem her new relationship has been forged in some trying circumstances.

Cantin is a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with leukemia four years ago.

He revealed: 'I'm now in full remission and as healthy as you are but yes Dina was there for me through some difficult times and she helped me through them.'

Indeed Cantin's illness only cemented the bond between him and Dina has, according to the source: 'looked after him and wooed him during his illness. She lifted his spirits when he was so sick and she's hoping for a ring in return for it all.'

In 2014 Cantin received the Peter Criss Man of Courage Award for his fight against his illness. Criss, co-founder and drummer of the band KISS is himself a cancer survivor.

Cantin served on the board of the Hyundai Hope on Wheels program which funds research into cures for pediatric cancer and supports other efforts to combat the disease. And he has launched The Cantin Family Foundation to advance his family's charitable work.

In fact it was at a fundraising event for Dina's own charity, Project Ladybug in aid of children with life threatening illnesses, that the couple first met last year.

The blogger who runs AllAboutTheTea.com, who says she speaks with the Real Housewives of New Jersey regularly: 'The relationship has been going on for over a year and the Manzo family are not happy about it. They may put a public face on it but Tommy and Dina are still legally married and Dave Cantin is also married with two children.

'Dina is being very outward about it and flaunting it in their faces really but behind the scenes that's what's going on.'
