Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodriguez 'splits from Henri Esteve' after one year of dating

Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodriguez has ended her relationship with Henri Esteve, according to a new report.

People claims that multiple sources have confirmed the couple’s break-up after one year of dating. DailyMail.com has contacted Gina’s representative for comment.

According to the publication, the 31-year-old’s busy schedule was partly to blame for the split.

‘Gina really cared for him,’ a source said. ‘She is a sweet person with a prosperous career, but she has limited time and it was just a mutual split.

‘They are still friends and very realistic about relationships.’

Tellingly, Gina has removed several posts featuring Revenge actor Henri from her Instagram page.

The actress was flying solo at the Emmy Awards on Sunday, where she presented an award alongside John Stamos.

Back in March, Gina gushed about how supportive Henri is of her blossoming career.

‘He's gorgeous! And he's talented! And he's a really, really good guy!’ she told E! of her ‘great relationship’.

‘I just know that I have a very strong [and] supportive boyfriend. He's an amazing artist himself who respects the craft.

She added: ‘He supports me and I think that's all that matters. We're very honest and there's a lot of communication. He knows that my priority is Jane and him and family.’

Despite the recent break-up, Gina was on good form at Sunday night’s star-studded ceremony, and looked beautiful in a dazzling Lorena Sarbu gown.

However she has been posting some cryptic tweets recently, sharing on Saturday: ‘I don't need a filler in my life, I need a pillar in my life. #knowYourWorth.’

Before the Emmys, she tweeted the Voltaire quote: ‘Life is a shipwreck, but we must not forget to sing in the lifeboats.’ 

The second season of Gina's hit show Jane The Virgin kicks off on October 12.
