Criticism soon began online soon after the montage aired during the 2015 Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles
Twitter users went online to voice their anger after the endings to a number of shows were played in a montage
But criticism soon began online after the montage aired and Samberg joked after a commercial break, 'Welcome back to the Spoiler Awards.'
Josh Denny said: 'Oh, so that's how Sons of Anarchy ends? Spoiler alert much, #Emmys?'
Dalton Ross tweeted: 'The #Emmys just set the land-speed record for most spoilers per minute.'
'Thanks for the spoiler alert on your "2015 finales in memoriam clip" #Emmys2015,' complained another Twitter user called Sheiman.

The montage happened during the Emmys Awards to mark the end of some of the nation's favourite shows
It was just one of many moments during Sunday's ceremony that toyed with viewers.
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel cut up and ate the name of the winner of outstanding actor in a comedy series category, joking he could give it to anyone before announcing the winner as Jeffrey Tambor.
And Samberg gave out a functioning password to HBO's streaming service, HBO Now, allowing viewers to catch up on some pay TV that they might not have seen.
