Kim Zolciak managed a chuckle when Bruno Tonioli compared her to old furniture Tuesday night on Dancing With The Stars.

Freshly imbued with botox the reality star had just performed a foxtrot with her partner Tony Dovolani.

The 37-year-old mother of six glided across the floor in a tribute dance for Tony's birthplace of war torn Kosovo.

'We all like the new Kim, refitted and all ready to go. ...It's like when you reupholster a sofa,' said Bruno somewhat tactlessly.

'You are such a smooth talker,' joked show co-host Tom Bergeron, 60.

Longtime DWTS judge Bruno was unperturbed and continued his appraisal.

'You have to push it further,' he told the wig-loving plastic surgery enthusiast.

The other judges were not so harsh.

'You are a better dancer than you think you are,' said Carrie Ann Inaba, 47.

But Kim, who is married to NFL star Kroy Biermann, scored a mediocre 18 points.

'Triple six, nobody likes that,' she complained.

The performance was part of the second installment of Hometown Glory Night with the couples dancing to songs representing the hometowns of the pro dancers.

He had danced a rumba to Girl On Fire with Karina Smirnoff from the Ukraine.

'The way I take control of American Farrow on the track is the way I'll take control of Karina on the dance floor,' said the 5' 2' sportsman.

The diminutive dancer was given 20 points and received a decent score – but not enough to keep the voters amused.

Val Chmerkovskiy removed his shirt for a New York City inspired Charleston with R&B singer Tamar Braxton.

They got the best score of the night, 25 out of 30, after nailing the speedy and complex routine.

'New York is my home, it's my heart,' said Val, who is originally from the Ukraine.

'So dynamic,' said Carrie Ann after the dance, as Julianne called it 'seamless'.

'This is the American dream,' gushed Val at the end.

The reigning champion also thanked the show for allowing the pro dancers to share their stories.

Steve Irwin's daughter Bindi, 17, danced a waltz to Only A Man by Jonny Lang.

The song was to honour Derek Hough's upbringing in Utah and England.

'I just saw two dancers dancing as one,' Julianne told the couple.

'So moving,' Bruno told Bindi – who is the daughter of the deceased Australian 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin.

They went away with 23 points.

The first dance of the night was from teen Internet star Hayes Grier, with Emma Slater, from Tamworth, England.

They danced the quickstep to Are You Going To Be My Girl by the UK band Jet.

Julianne Hough wanted Hayes to 'tuck in his booty' but Bruno said the 15-year-old 'went out there like a model'.

'You lost the frame a little though,' he added.

Next was Carlos PenaVega who was paired with Witney Carson, from American Fork, Utah.

'I had one of the best childhoods,' said Witney, who chose Hound Dog by Elvis for a raunchy saloon bar themed cha-cha.

'You missed a couple of steps,' Bruno told the 26-year-old Nickelodeon actor.

Carrie Ann said she was 'not impressed'.

'I need you to be big, fill the space,' she demanded while Julianne said he was 'squatty'.

Attempting to become 'a powerful Russian knight', Busey, 71, grimaced his way through the moves and earned just 15 points.

Carrie loved the 'stomping' and 'intensity' but wasn't sure they'd retained the dance's integrity.

'Gary went monumental with imperial splendor,' declared Bruno, while conceding that he looked a little 'like Frankenstein' as well as Rasputin.

Fine By Me singer Andy Grammer danced to Heaven Is A Place On Earth for Allison Holker's new home in Los Angeles with husband Stephen Boss.

The 31-year-old, who has no background in dance, fell off beat on Monday but redeemed himself with the barefoot contemporary number.

'Such a difficult routine, I can't believe you got all the way through it,' praised Bruno, who said his lift was a little sloppy.

Next was Spy Kids actress Alexa PenaVega, 27, who danced a passionate rumba with Mark Ballas.

According to Carrie Ann, Alexa 'nailed' Shirley Ballas' signature leg split move.

'Proper romantic, classic, sensual rumba,' raved Bruno as they were given 22.

Next up was celebrity chef Paula Deen, 68.

She paid homage to The Netherlands with her Dutch partner Louis Van Amstel.

The Amsterdam native chose a jazzy tango to Get Ready by The Temptations.

'It was OK,' said Carrie Ann, who noticed some 'mess ups' but called them a 'power couple'.

'You're so mature,' Julianne told the 22-year-old Paris train hero who came away with 22 out of 30.

Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, 35, was with Australian girl Sharna Burgess for a slinky foxtrot.

'Nick is back on track,' said Bruno while Carrie Ann cited 'power, passion' and 'poetry' in their moves.

They appeared pleased with their swag of 24 points.

Next week the competition continues on ABC with the 11 remaining celebrity dancers and their pro partners.
