'They could be planning to kidnap my child': Sam Worthington has ANOTHER blow-up at the paparazzi and calls police while driving in Sydney with wife Lara Bingle and baby Rocket... just days after settling court case with U.S. photographer

Sam Worthington has endured another heated encounter with the paparazzi, confronting a photographer who followed him as he was driving with his famous family.

The Avatar actor pulled over a short distance from the Sydney home where he is staying, stopping his car at the side of the road as his wife Lara Bingle and six-month-old son, Rocket Zot, remained inside.

The 39-year-old took pictures of his photographer's licence plates before calling NSW Police, with no less than six officers later attending the scene.

Frustrated: Sam Worthington pulled over to the side of the road as he drove in Sydney with wife Lara and their baby Rocket, aggravated at the following paparazzi

Worthington was then filmed ranting to the officers, claiming the photographer had been following him at an unsafe distance - and that they hadn't made their identity known.

'They could be planning to kidnap my child,' he fumed in the street, saying the paparazzi had not identified themselves.

'They don't say who they are, at least in America they say "Hey, I'm paparazzi" here there are no laws. I don't know who these guys are. They just appeared outside my house.

Rant: Sam phoned NSW Police before launching a rant, claiming he did not feel 'safe' driving with his young son and wife

'I don't know what they could be doing... they could be staking us out to steal my kid, because as he says I earn alot of money,' the Avatar actor continued.

'This isn't safe, I don't feel safe with my family.'

The huddle of officers listened intently as Worthington's model wife checked on their six-month-old son in his car seat.

The 28-year-old, formerly known as Lara Bingle, appeared to laugh at some points as she gave her own version of events to a female police officer moments later

NSW Police confirmed the incident, later adding that no one had been arrested.

'Around 3.30pm today (Tuesday 22 September 2015), police were called to Darling Point Road, Darling Point, after a couple complained of being harassed by photographers,' a force spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

'The couple - a 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman - had been travelling in a vehicle with their baby son and allegedly were being closely followed by photographers.

'Police attended the scene and spoke to the couple as well as a number of professional photographers. No one was arrested or charged. '

The blow-up comes just days after the couple settled a U.S. case with a photographer who accused them of assaulting him in New York.

Sheng Li claimed the couple caused him more than $2million in damages when they lashed out in the street, with images of Lara attempting to attempt to grab his camera later emerging.

The famous couple denied his accusations, with Worthington insisting he was protecting his girlfriend as she was accosted in the street.

Court proceedings were scheduled to begin when the couple settled for an undisclosed sum earlier this month.

Worthington's representatives are yet to respond to Daily Mail Australia's request for comment.
