It was a startling accomplishment for the celebrity offspring who's always enjoyed musical theatre but had really only focused on dance as a contestant on season 20 of ABC's Dancing With The Stars.

Before the curtain went up, Bruce Willis and wife Emma Heming shared a selfie from inside the theatre holding a playbill.

Backstage after the curtain came down, Bruce and ex-wife Demi each posed for photos with their daughter.

But stress fractures in her foot placed the dream in jeopardy for a period of time and she had to push back her start date in the show twice before finally getting the all clear form her doctors to start dancing again.

As she will seemingly do anything to get out of being convicted, she fools the public, media and even her rival cellmate by hiring Chicago's smoothest lawyer to manipulate the views on her crime into sensationalistic headlines.

The on-stage act also stars international actress Amra-Faye Wright, Ryan SIlverman, Raymond Bokouras and NaTasha Yvette Williams.

Finally ready to make her bow on stage, the excited 27-year-old posted a photo of herself in her dressing room with the caption: '5 mins til showtime....'

If she was naturally a little nervous, Rumer had plenty of support in the audience.

Her movie star dad Bruce Willis and wife Emma Heming shared a selfie of themselves with the show's playbill.

She told Playbill.com Monday that there's likely be a little celebration once the curtain comes down.

'I have a bunch of friends and family coming, so I'll probably just hang out with them and then potentially just go to bed because I have a show the next day,' she said.
