Walcott hasn't scored for Arsenal in a Premier League game since joining from Southampton in a £10m deal two years ago.

The 18-year-old has been mostly used as a fringe player since then, but Wenger said: "Walcott does need a goal, but the goal will come when it is not an obsession.

"The longer it lasts, the more it becomes an obsession. It will come the day maybe he doesn't thinks it comes."
