As one of Hollywood's top heartthrobs women used to pray he would flaunt his body.

And old habits clearly die hard for Mickey Rourke after he was spotted displaying his unique style mode yet again in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The Nine And A Half Weeks legend seemed in high spirits after he left a boxing training session, in which the former professional pugilist no doubt worked up quite a sweat.

The larger than life 63-year-old was a sight to behold as he headed out wearing his faithful grey hooded workout jacket, extremely tight shorts and a pair of trainers.

But The Wrestler star Mickey was not the only hunk on the prowl in the posh Brentwood area.

For the star was accompanied by his faithful hairdresser sidekick Giuseppe Franco, who looked as cool as they come in a black T-shirt, jeans and biker boots. 

But life is not all leisurely workouts and afternoon strolls for Mickey, who is worth an estimated $15 million.

For he is said to be gearing up to play a gay rugby player from Ireland in a film tentatively called Irish Thunder.

Last year The former professional boxer raised eyebrows after buying a T-shirt bearing the image of fellow hardman Vladimir Putin in Russia back in August.

He wore the controversial number after joining hundreds of people at Moscow's up-scale department store GUM.

'I like this guy,' the Moscow Times reported Mickey said of the Russian President.

The actor later explained on The Tonight Show that he bought the T-shirt because it was being sold with Putin's blessing to raise money for an operation for a sick Ukrainian boy.
