Bournemouth have survived an upset scare at Deepdale after seeing off Championship side Preston North End in penalties, and they advance to the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.
Adam Federici saved over half the PNE spot-kicks as the Cherries join seven other sides in advancing from the third round this evening.
There's plenty more to come tomorrow in the League Cup as Tottenham Hotspur host Arsenal in a north London derby, as well as the fourth round draw, but I'll leave you with tonight's results.
I'll see you again tomorrow when we go again. Cheerio.

Penalty shoot-out to be contested and they are coming up next...
And it's converted! Daniel Johnson goes for the casual run-up but he is justified as he slots his penalty superbly past Federici. Just two minutes to play as we head for penalties at Deepdale.
Drama at Deepdale. With five mnutes to play, the hosts have a penalty after Pugh is penalised for handball.
With a minute to play, everyone but Adrian goes up for a West Ham corner but it's a set-piece that is nodded wide by James Tomkins as Leicester survive.
Maybe this isn't going to penalties! A floated cross to the back post sees Andy King rise highest to nod home past Adrian with four minutes to play.
It looks like Leicester are the side keener to get this game done before penalties. Gokhan Inler driving over from 25 yards as West Ham send Winston Reid on for Pedro Obiang.
Away we go again for the final 15 minutes. As it stands Bournemouth are on the cusp of surviving an upset while Leicester City and West Ham United are heading for a penalty shootout.
It's not just the King Power Stadium seeing all the action. Pickord makes a double stop to deny Lee Tomlin as Preston just about stay in this cup-tie.
Another chance for Leicester, with this one falling for Riyad Mahrez. The forward collects a lay-off from Ulloa before firing over. Unlucky.
However this is not unlucky, Mahrez is through on goal but one-on-one with Adrian his shot is beaten away by the West Ham keeper.
So now that leaves one game again as a stalemate and it's at the King Power Stadium where it's been a relatively even contest.
Adrian saves well from Jeff Schlupp as Mark Noble, of all people, is booked for diving.
First blood Bournemouth in extra time! It's Marc Pugh who has helped the Cherries retake the lead, tapping home at the back post past Preston keeper Jordan Pickford following a Josh king ball across goal which somehow crept past the home defence.
Just the three ties remain then, as extra-time begins at Leicester and Preston. Everton have just over five minutes to hold on at Reading and book a fourth round spot in the 8pm kick-off.
Extra time to be played at Deepdale
Extra time to be played at the King Power Stadium
Magic moment for George Evans. The Manchester City midfielder has become the club's first player to represent EVERY side from the Under 8s upwards as he replaces Yaya Toure.
Everton were heading out just over 10 minutes ago, now they are heading for the fourth round as Gerard Deulofeu's 30-yard free-kick squeezes in between the keeper and his near post.
Late drama at Deepdale, as Jordan Hugill has jumped highest at the back post to head home past Bournemouth stopper Adam Federici.
Consolation for Sunderland. Ola Toivonen beats Willy Caballero at the near post to a cross before heading past the Manchester City keeper.
Fulham are still in this but only because Peter Odemwingie's woeful finishing! Marko Arnautovic's clever run down the left is followed by a through pass for the striker but with just the keeper to beat he lobs the ball over the bar. Poor.
Pick that out! Extra-time is now on the cards at the Madejski Stadium as Ross Barkley has fired a ferocious effort through a crowd of players from the edge of the box which has squeezed into the bottom corner.
What a chance to equalise! Neat Birmingham build up play presents Jacques Maghoma with a one-on-one chance inside the box but his placed effort across goal is rather easily saved by Brad Guzan. He really should have scored that.
As it stands we have just one game heading for extra time as we approach the final 20 minutes (35 at Reading). Andy Carroll has departed for West Ham at Leicester as Dimitri Payet replaces the striker.
Middlesbrough appear to be heading through into the fourth round as a ball into the box again skips past Kike before finding Albert Adomah at the back post who fires home his second goal of the game.
Leicester City nearly retake the lead at the King Power Stadium, but Leonardo Ulloa's glancing header is superbly stopped by Adrian.
Villa have looked so much better in this half and deservedly take the lead as Rudy Gestede thunders home a trademark header following a central Jordan Amavi cross.
The Villa Park crowd have gone from jeers to cheers as wild celebrations erupt in the crowd as the home side take the advantage in the Second City derby.
Excellent football from Boro. Adomah crosses low into the box and after Kike dummies by leaving it, Diego Fabbrini converts neatly from inside the box.
Patrick Roberts has replaced Jesus Navas for Manchester City, and in doing so he makes his debut for the club having joined from Fulham in the summer.
Can he get in on the goal scoring fun at the Stadium of Light?
Hull still lead Swansea but only just as Wayne Routledge latches onto a Matt Grimes through ball before converting a neat finish, only to be flagged for offside.
It appears the answer to the half-time teaser is 'push for more goals'.
Sergio Aguero once again gets behind the Sunderland defence before crossing for Sterling who fires straight at Mannone.
'Turgid first half from Villa, a fragmented performance that received boos from the home crowd at the whistle.
'Sherwood has acted, bringing on Ayew and Grealish for Agbonlahor and Lescott. Clark drops back into defence as Villa go 4-2-3-1.'
It's half-time between Reading and Everton, with the Royals leading 1-0 at the Madejski Stadium
'Having watch replays of Mauro Zarate’s equaliser, realised the shot takes a huge defection off Marcin Wasilewski which carries the ball inside Mark Schwarzer’s near post. Huge stroke of luck, but the goal really helped West Ham get back into the tie.'
Erm..well..I have to admit I'm struggling. Although Robert Lewandowski has come off the bench for Bayern Munich this evening and scored FIVE goals in ten minutes against Wolfsburg.
The Black Cats have Jermain Defoe to call upon and he did score five goals in one game against Wigan Athletic once... sorry Sunderland fans, that's the only hope I can offer you.
The only question left at the Stadium of Light is will Manchester City settle for the four they already or show no mercy in the second half and go for more goals?
Oh, that's just damn typical that is. It's not goalless any more as Nick Blackman has ghosted in near the back post to give Reading a surprise lead over Everton.
Just 35 minutes have been played in the 8pm kick-off at the Madejski Stadium as Reading take on Everton where it is still goalless.

'Half time at Craven Cottage and Premier League Stoke lead thanks to a Peter Crouch goal. Crouch played a neat one-two with Peter Odemwingie before slotting the ball past Joe Lewis in the Fulham goal. Other than that, there has been very little to report. This has been far from a Cup classic.'
It's a slow burner at Villa Park. Plenty of passion on show in the Second City derby but Aston Villa have struggled to break down Birmingham City. Now sounds like a good time to remind you all that if needed we will have extra-time and penalties this evening.
Even Sergio Aguero is felling sorry for Sunderland now. A simple ball over the top catches out the home side and although the Argentine takes the ball easily past Mannone, he gets caught in two minds how he wants to tap the ball in before Sunderland players get back to rob him of possession.
Finally, we have an upset on the cards! Championship side Hull have taken the lead against Garry Monk's team, with David Meyler pouncing on a rebound from close range.
'Preston were the only club to beat Premier League opposition in the last round. They are playing well enough but Bournemouth's attitude has been spot-on. They don't look like a team that has made nine changes and just about deserve their 1-0 lead.'
Sticking with the North East, there are even less inside the Riverside Stadium but at least the home fans have something to cheer there as Albert Adomah pounces on a defensive error inside the box before lashing home.
Far too easy. There's not many Sunderland fans inside the Stadium of Light and they have done well to miss this carnage in motion.
De Bruyne picks out Raheem Sterling inside the box, who arcs his body towards goal before curling a cool finish across goal and into the top corner.
The Premier League side are in front in west London, Peter Crouch rifling into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
Stick with this Fulham fans, the Potters threw away a 2-0 lead at the weekend...
Embarrassing. Vito Mannone poorly clears a Manchester City cross into the box and although Raheem Sterling's shot after picking up the loose ball hits the pots, it bounces off the Sunderland keeper and in the back of the net. Slapstick - much like Sunderland's season.
It's a bit of fortune for West Ham United but they will take it as Mauro Zarate's strike from distance takes a deflection before beating Mark Schwarzer at his near post.
Less than a minute after Ola Toivonen heads over unmarked, Manchester countder down the other end, with Kevin De Bruyne firing home from a tight angle. Vito Mannone could perhaps have done a little better there.
Have it! I love headers like these! Preston fail to properly clear a cross inside the box, and as the ball drops from the sky, Shaun MacDonald storms into the box to powerfully nod home.
Stoke are trying to avoid an upset at Craven Cottage and go close to taking the lead.
The Potters have yet to win this season, but they have started well in west London as Peter Odemwingie fires just wide following decent build up play between Steve Sidwell and Peter Crouch.
Hull are incredibly fortunate to not fall behind against Swansea! Eder blocks an Eldin Jakupovic clearance on to the post, while Matt Grimes has a shot cleared off the line.
'No messing about by Joe Dodoo there who adds to his hat-trick in the last round with a goal after only six minutes here. That was one classy finish, with a deflected ball swerving awkwardly towards him, nine yards from goal.'
Patrick van Aanholt's challenge on Jeseus Navas is beyond clumsy and from the resulting penalty, Sergio Aguero tucks home. City arew wearing their rather bright yellow/green third kit this evening.
'Glam up Preston vs Bournemouth by calling it Manchester United-Chelsea.
'Preston's centre-forward Will Keane is an England Under 21 international from United; Bournemouth winger Christian Atsu a Nigeria international from Chelsea. Not that either have done a lot so far. 0-0.'
'There are some 400 stewards here, almost double the usual number, in an effort to avoid a pitch invasion.
'Little need for the floodlights with so many high-vis jackets. There are thunderous boos from the Villa fans when Birmingham take possession, and the Holte End in terrific voice too.
'Ciaran Clark, starting his first Villa game since August 29, is playing a holding midfield role.'
Leicester City have made a fair few changes but they are still playing like they do in the Premier League - and that's on the front foot.
The ball rolls across the box for Joe Dodoo, who shapes his body towards goal before dispatching a neat finish past Adrian.
'You have to fancy City strongly here, not least because of the strength of their starting XI, the cumulative cost of which is £247.7million.
'Indeed, Raheem Sterling at £49m cost £4m more than the entire Sunderland team.'

'It's a debut for Middlesbrough's £2.6m signing from Nacional, Carlos De Pena.
'If Boro happen to find themselves in trouble, then their bench looks handy. They have Stewart Downing, David Nugent and Adam Clayton among those who can be brought on as emergency substitutes.
'Wolves likewise have made changes. They too have Benik Afobe and Adam Le Fondre on the bench.
'The last thing any of us here in a freezing Riverside Stadium want is a bore draw. Plenty of goals, please.'
'Andy Carroll makes his first West Ham start in eight months here at the King Power Stadium.
'Slaven Bilic has fielded the stronger of the two sides, fully aware what can happen in a competition if you don’t given their early exit from the Europa League.
'Joe Dodoo starts for Leicester City. The 20-year-old netted a hat-trick on his debut against Bury in the last round.'
