Luke Shaw will return to Manchester on Saturday morning as he continues his recovery from the horrendous double fracture to his right leg suffered in Manchester United's Champions League loss to PSV Eindhoven.
The 20-year-old left back underwent surgery and will be out for six months following an horrendous tackle by the PSV defender Hector Moreno.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, England defender Shaw thanked the medical staff at St Anna Hospital in Eindhoven and confirmed he was flying home.

Alongside three pictures with staff, Shaw wrote: 'I just wanna say a massive thank you to everyone at St Anna hosptal for all the care and attention they have given me the last few days.
'Something I will never forget! Am pleased to be flying back to Manchester today so I can start my journey back onto the football pitch!'
Shaw had started all eight of United's matches this season and was the only recognised left back in the squad.
Moreno's challenge was not punished by even a yellow card and United were upset when the Mexican, who scored in PSV's 2-1 victory, was named the official UEFA man of the match.

Moreno visited Shaw in hospital to apologise and sympathy had flooded in from throughout the football world for the stricken defender.
His manager Louis van Gaal admitted on Friday that his absence is a 'big loss' to United but is confident he has the right players to deputise.
Van Gaal, whose side travel to Southampton on Sunday, said: 'We built up a left wing with Memphis [Depay] and Luke Shaw. We have to start filling it again and it is not easy.

Marcos Rojo is set to make his first start of the season at Southampton as Blind shifts to left back
'It is not a problem, but Shaw is the line-up player and it is very difficult to replace him when he is in such a good shape.
'In Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young, we have good replacements.'
Blind switched to left back following Shaw's injury on Tuesday, with Marcos Rojo coming on to replace Blind at centre back.
Rojo is now likely to start his first game of the season at St Mary's, with captain Wayne Rooney also returning following a hamstring injury.
