Marcos Rojo has infuriated Louis van Gaal by failing to reveal the extent of an injury that forced him off against Southampton on Sunday.
The defender limped out of Manchester United's 3-2 win at St Mary's and isn't available for the Capital One Cup clash at home to Ipswich.
That has angered Van Gaal, who is now short on options at the back.

'Marcos Rojo is not ready to play. It's not so nice that we have three defenders injured (Rojo, Luke Shaw and Paddy McNair),' he said.
'I thought we were right on time for Rojo because we changed him in the game and he didn't warn us he was injured - but he has a hamstring injury.'
It is the latest in a growing list of problems Van Gaal and Rojo have endured during a prickly year together at Old Trafford. The Argentine was fined in pre-season for failing to renew his passport and looked set to leave the club.
But Rojo is ready to fight for his place in the side, with his agent insisting he is staying.
Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, he said: 'There is no need to talk about it. The player is happy at United and has no intention of leaving the club.'
Rojo joined the Premier League giants for £16million from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon last summer, signing a four-year deal in the process.
