For Hilaria and Alec Baldwin, a walk to the neighbourhood coffeehouse is a family affair.

The couple had their coordination skills down pat as they strolled down a New York City street with their three-month-old son Rafael and their two little dogs on Wednesday.

While Alec minded their petite pooches, Hilaria kept their tiny tot close to her heart and wrapped in a soft white blanket from which his bare feet dangled.

Hilaria was smiling and perfectly calm while her slightly tousled dark hair wafted gently around her face and those opaque shades covering her eyes.

The 31-year-old yoga enthusiast was casually dressed in baggy grey track trousers and a long-sleeved light grey knit caridgan, along with flip flops.

Alec, 57, echoed that sentiment in charcoal-coloured trousers and matching T-shirt with loafer-style trainers.

It looked like Alec needed a caffeine pick-me-up for he also clutched a small iced beverage along with the two leashes.

The couple, who have been married three years, also have a little girl together, Carmen, two; Alec has a daughter, Ireland, 19, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Their low-key outing was a marked change from Monday when they attended a press conference at the United Nations building in New York City.

Alec had the honour of helping to announce the winners of the Equator Prize 2015 - which spotlights 21 initiatives that are striving to reduce poverty and protect the environment amid climate change.

Each winner will receive $10,000 and an invite to a two-week community summit during the UN’s Paris conference and a star-studded gala where they will be presented with their awards.

Alec noted the ‘remarkable’ selection of winners and said that the ‘world is in awe of their leadership and bravery,' according to the United Nations News Centre.

Hilaria shared a sweet snap of her hugging Rafael in the calm and quiet of her room, writing: '...at the end of the night, the dress comes off and the baby goes on...wish me luck sleeping tonight.... Buenas noches.'
