Qld driver tries to get boy, 9, into car

Police are hunting for a man who tried to coerce a nine-year-old into his car northwest of Brisbane.

The boy was waiting for his morning school bus to arrive at Durong when a faded silver Toyota Landcruiser car pulled up next to him.

Police say the driver tried to coax him into the car at first but when the child refused, started yelling at him to get in.

The boy didn't comply and the man eventually drove off.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the Landcruiser with a "Ravhead sticker" on the rear window to contact them.
