Mark Ronson won't be on Lana Del Rey's album: 'I hate to crap all over your excitement'

By and Amie Parker-Williams
Earlier this year, Mark Ronson let slip that he was going into the studio with Lana Del Rey.

It sounded like an intriguing collaboration, especially when you consider Ronson's previous output for the likes of Adele and Christina Aguilera, as well as his mammoth hit 'Uptown Funk'.

But don't get too excited, because although Lana's Honeymoon is on the horizon, the results of their writing session won't be sailing off into the sunset as a part of it.

"I hate to crap all over your excitement, but we just worked a couple [of] days together and I think she's amazing, but we didn't actually end up doing anything for her album," Ronson told us backstage at V Festival.

"I said it and I shouldn't have opened my big mouth, but I love that track 'Honeymoon' and the stuff I've heard from the record is great."

So close yet so far, but at least he's a fan of what Lana will be putting out on Honeymoon.

Mark Ronson joined forces with A-Trak in the Virgin Media Our House tent this past weekend, for a collaborative DJ set which can be viewed on demand right here if you so wish.

The songwriter also assured Voice fans that new coach Boy George will make an "amazing and honest" addition to the spinning-chaired panel.
