Her appearance on the red carpet wearing a dress that hinted at some body hardware in the chest department got plenty of tongues wagging.

But now Kendall Jenner has admitted she does have her nipple pierced, and got it done when she was going through a rebellious face.

Speaking to Page Six she confirmed it was true and explained: 'I was going through a period in my life, having a rough time, being a rebel and was like "Let’s just do it."'

The 19-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star went on to say she nearly didn't go through with the piercing, as she was too fearful of the pain.

'[I was] so terrified, I’m laying on the bed like "Why am I doing this?’"

Speaking at the launch of Estee Lauder's perfume launch for Modern Muse Rouge perfume in New York she said: 'Honestly, it hurt, but wasn’t as bad as everyone made it seem and maybe because everyone hyped it up and I thought it would be really, really bad. Then it wasn’t as bad as I expected.”

It was the second to last evening of New York Fashion Week when she made her appearance at the Harpers Bazaar Icon event, that Kendall accidentally showed off her body hardware in a clingy frock.

Her nipple piercing was clearly visible underneath her white dress.

The rising star of the modelling world left little to the imagination in her slinky dress.

The thin fabric showed off both her enviable figure and her body jewellery as she made her way around the event with her celeb pals, under the glare of the cameras.

It was in in July that TMZ first reported the 19-year-old star had had her nipple pierced.

The report claimed that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star had at the time been trying to hide the piercing under her clothes.

Being a runway star, Kendall's new piercing may not have been to every designer's taste, but the model did flash a glimpse of the jewellery through her pink lace dress when she walked the catwalk for Givenchy in Paris in June.

She isn't the first Kardashian to have body hardware - her younger sister Kylie also hinted at some of her own earlier this year.
