They are the first couple to compete as one entity in Celebrity Big Brother.

But it seems that even the single-celled creature that is Stevi Ritchie and Chloe-Jasmine are struggling to evade the tensions of the Channel 5 show.

The former X Factor pair hit the rocks in Wednesday's episode of the reality TV show - in full view of their fellow residents.

Following a quiz show task with TV presenter Eamonn Holmes, which saw the pair named the most fake people in the house, tensions began bubbling between them.

Specifically, this seemed to irk Chloe-Jasmine because the British public questioned whether her emotional tantrums were genuine.

Then, several hours later - when housemates were gathered at the sofa for the eviction - Chloe-Jasmine was repeatedly invading Stevi's personal space, telling him: 'You make me go all gooey inside'.

He responded: 'I think we all know that’s a lie babe', to which she then says: 'I’m sorry I cry so much and that I get upset so easily.'

Increasingly, the back-and-forth simmered with Chloe-Jasmine getting increasingly worked up, with Stevi telling her that he felt uneasy because of the eviction.

Once Janice Dickinson and Jenna Jameson were evicted, Stevi told Chloe-Jasmine: 'I’m going to sleep with Bobz tonight. I just need a week apart from you babe.'

Storming outside to the garden, where she then curled up on the sofa , she moaned: 'I don’t know why you say these things to make me feel upset and hurt…when you’re nervous you don’t even want to touch me…it’s difficult to respond to a closed heart.'

But when he accuses Chloe-Jasmine of making him making him feel insecure, she adds: 'I’d have to be a twisted f**ked up girlfriend to go out my way to hurt you.

'I feel a bit lost, your being a bit odd with me, you don’t say very nice things to me.'

Stevi tries to console her, but - in a moment which Twitter uses have since described as her 'bunny boiler' moment - Chloe-Jasmine strokes a rabbit cushion while laconically gazing at Stevi and saying: 'Do you still love me?'

Kiss and make-up...for now! The couple managed to get over their tiff, but only Stevi had relented

A few hours later, once she had gone to bed, Natasha give Stevi some advice in the garden.

She told him: 'Right, a relationship is a partnership and it’s helping someone when they are struggling, so no one is saying don’t have a drink and don’t enjoy yourself, but four weeks in here is a long hard time.

'She is struggling and the only person she has got in here is you. I know what it’s like to be going through something like depression - and all you want to hear is "your problem's our problem, let's deal with it together". That’s what you need.'

He then goes into the bedroom and sleeps with Chloe-Jasmine, who - eerily -pretends to be asleep.
