A Yale student who jumped out a window to his death after stabbing his friend earlier this year had flown into a jealous rage during a threesome.

Tyler Carlisle had graduated just days prior from the Ivy League university in New Haven, Connecticut, when he stabbed friend Alexander Michaud in the neck with a knife at around 5:30am on May 26, leaping out an apartment window soon after and falling six stories.

He was pronounced dead on the scene, and his motive for stabbing his friend and then taking his life was not disclosed to the public.

Gawker has now obtained the police report however that reveals Carlisle stabbed Michaud after he felt that his friend was receiving too much attention from the woman they were having a threesome with at the time.

One of the three officers on the scene, Tiffany Ortiz,  wrote in her report after speaking to Michaud in the hospital; 'Michaud, [redacted female], and Carlisle had all been drinking. The three of them were having sex in the bedroom, and Carlisle started to get jealous of Michaud and [redacted female].

'Carlisle grabbed a knife that was on the nightstand next to the bed. Carlisle stabbed Michaud in the neck area.

'Michaud does not remember how he got to the living room. Michaud sat on the chair in the living room and told [redacted female] to "call 911.”

[Redacted female] grabbed a white t-shirt and held it to Michaud’s neck to stop the bleeding. Carlisle then went to the living room and started pacing back and forth, saying "I’m sorry."

'Carlisle sat on the window sill and said he was going to jump. Michaud did not see Carlisle jump out of the window.'

Michaud was declared in 'stable condition' after being taken to the hospital and the female suffered no injuries.

The report notes that the female was 'too distraught' at the time to be able to give police a statement.

Gawker reached out to the female for comment but she did not respond, while Michaud told the site; 'I have no interest in talking to any member of the press about this.'

Michaud, Yale class 2017, was a member of the comedy and a capella group Mixed Company of Yale.

According to the Yale Daily News, both Michaud and Carlisle were active members of the Party of the Right, a constituent party of the Yale Political Union.

On its website, the political organization is described as 'the Right-most of the seven Parties in the Yale Political Union.'

Both Michaud, now 22, and Carlisle were originally from Manchester, New Hampshire and had grown up together.

A friend of Carlisle's told the New Hampshire Union Leader shortly after his suicide; 'You expected him to be a senator.'
