Now that's awkward! BBC Breakfast presenters Louise Minchin and Carol Kirkwood wear SAME £115 dress...and eagle eyed-viewers are quick to point it out
- Anchorwoman and weather presenter spotted wearing the same dress
- Carol wore pink while Louise word blue version of £115 Nadia frock
- Presenters ignored faux pas on screen but commented later on Twitter
It's a problem that male presenters on BBC Breakfast definitely don't have.
For the station's female presenters, every new day brings a potential fashion disaster; with wardrobes carefully co-ordinated to ensure outfits don't clash.
Today, however, two of the show's most popular presenters clearly didn't get the memo.
Anchorwoman Louise Minchin and weather presenter Carol Kirkwood shared an awkward moment on screen as they ignored the fact they were wearing the same dress - albeit in different colours.
At least they're in different colours! Louise Minchin and Carol Kirkwood sport the same dress as they appear on BBC Breakfast this morning
Are you supposed to be in the communication business? Carol and Louise couldn't fool the BBC faithful this morning, who were quick to point out their fashion faux pas
While Ms Kirkwood told us about the forecast weather wearing a pink version of the frocks, thought to be a £115 Nadia colour block sleeved dress from Diva, her colleague watched from the sofa in an identical outfit in blue.
Of course, it was only a matter of time before eagle-eyed viewers took to social media to highlight the fashion clash.
Viewers didn't seem to mind the fashion clash, with one tweeting: '£bbc breakfast @louiseminchin and @carolkirkwood look fab in their matching dresses today.'
One, FlossieMulvenna said: 'Is it my imagination or are @carolkirkwood and @louiseminchin wearing the same dress in diff colours?
'Same dress in different colours?' One Twitter user was quick to point the error out

Shortly after the show, both presenters took to Twitter to acknowledge their sartorial mishap
An accident: Carol told her followers they hadn't deliberately worn the same dress
Eventually, the presenters also chimed in. Kirkwood tweeted: 'For those asking, lovely @louiseminchin and I didn't deliberately wear the same dress (in different colours) this morning - pure coincidence.'
Minchin added: 'A late change on my part!' and also tweeted: 'So, I changed at 5 to 6 so I wasn't wearing the same as @stephbreakfast and managed to put on the same dress as @carolkirkwood! £dressclash'.
