Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello enjoyed a romantic stroll arm-in-arm in New York on Wednesday as the Modern Family star revealed their wedding isn't too far off now.

Speaking on Good Morning America, the actress, 43, admitted she's turned into a bridezilla but praised her fiance, 38, for his laid back attitude.

Sofia has been calling the shots as the couple prepare to exchange vows after getting engaged last December and revealed: 'We're almost ready.'

During her appearance on GMA to promote the new seaon of her TV comedy, the Colombian beauty admitted she is 'like a nightmare' when it comes to organizing the wedding because she is 'very detail-orientated.'Asked if she has become a bridezilla, she said: 'I think I am beyond that.'

Fortunately, the Magic Mike XXL star is 'very relaxed' about the whole thing.

'I show him options that, of course, I already want and I'm happy with, so whatever he's going to pick I already like.'

One major detail that has still to fall into place before the ceremony can go ahead is the arrival of her custom-made wedding dress.

'I know who's making my dress, but it's not ready. They're making it far away so we'll see what happens when it arrives and I'm very excited,' she said.

'My family started having seizures and heart attacks, complaints and emails with bad words. They wanted a party. They needed a party,' she said.

'The last party I did was when I was turning 40 so it's been like three years so they wanted something,' she added.
