Empire state of play! Jimmy Fallon parodies hit series with cameos by Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and Donald Trump
He's running for US president but Donald Trump can still find time to make an appearance on the late night talk show circuit.
The showboating candidate made a cameo on Tuesday during a skit parodying the popular Fox show Empire about a glitzy hip hop dynasty.
The sketch was called Jimpire where Jimmy Fallon played 'Juicy Jim' a suave businessman looking for a suitable heir for The Tonight Show.

Spot on: Jimmy Fallon delivered a spot on impersonation of Terrence Howard on Tuesday on The Tonight Show during a video parody of the hit Fox show Empire
'I might not be around forever, what with my finger being in the condition that it is,' Fallon told his boardroom, with a nod to the bizarre accident that injured his ring finger earlier this year.
'Who knows what could happen tomorrow. I could stub my toe. I could bite my tongue. I could burn the roof of my mouth eating a hot microwave pizza,' he continued dramatically while impersonating Empire star Terrence Howard.
Fallon, 41, then allowed the Roots bandleader Questlove and its head MC Tariq, to play the monologue, which centered around the Republican race for President.

'2016 is his holy grail it's also what he sees when he looks at the bathroom scale,' they rapped about portly Chris Christie, governor of New Jersey.
Empire star Taraji P. Henson, who plays the feisty Cookie character on the FOX show, made an explosive cameo.
'I should call you Little Debbie,' she told Steve Higgins, a.k.a. Higgie who was there to poke fun at Juicy Jim and his 'Boo Boo Kitty' bandaged finger.

Cookie then slammed Higgie who was dressed exactly like her to the floor.
'Cause you are one fake-ass Cookie,' she snarled.
At the end Donald Trump, who is relentlessly the brunt of Fallon's jokes, was announced as heir to his legacy.

Trump, a real estate developer and reality TV star, steamed in to yell a line as climax to the parody.
'I'm back Boo Boo Kitty, I'm back,' bellowed the 69-year-old Republican hopeful to Fallon.
The main Hollywood guest of the night was actress Anne Hathaway who was promoting her new comedy The Intern co-starring Robert De Niro.
She sparkled: Anne Hathaway added a shiny twist to the little black dress while appearing on The Tonight Show
'Last week he said he is president of the Anne Hathaway appreciation society,' said Fallon, who recently interviewed De Niro.
'That honestly makes me not be able to talk…or breathe,' she sighed, while admitting that she was very intimidated by the Hollywood legend for the 'first two weeks' of filming.
'It was hard at first, because I was making it hard, because I was scared of him,' said the Devil Wears Prada star, who was wearing a sparkling black t-shirt dress and stilettoes.
Good times: Jimmy and Anne enjoyed a laugh during their interview
'You project so much onto him because he's just the best,' she gushed.
'But after, like the first two weeks, I was just like ''this is not helping anyone'' so I just chilled out and we ended up really getting along,' added the Interstellar actress.
A New York Giants football fan, the 32-year-old said she was hopeful the team would make a comeback after a shaky start this season

Anthony Anderson of ABC's Black-ish was the second guest.
He talked about teaching his son to drive from the age of nine.
'I had to start him early,' said the actor who recently stated that he'd love President Obama to guest star on his show.

Anderson, 45, later launched into Whitney Houston's Greatest Love Of All with Fallon as backup.
'Hey white people you're off beat, ' he joked to the swaying audience.
Fallon's musical interludes came from New York City-based pop duo A Great Big World who sang Hold Each Other along with rapper Futuristic who is featured on the single.

Earlier in the show Fallon used Pope Francis' visit to New York as comedy fodder.
'Just don't ask him if ever freezes holy water and gives them out as pope-sicles,' he laughed.
Fallon will interview Joseph Gordon-Levitt later in the week on his popular NBC talk show.
