Loyal viewers of The Voice have noticed a much more svelte Blake Shelton.

And the recent divorcee revealed that it indeed is the heartbreak diet that should be credited for his new slimline physique.

The 39-year-old country crooner opened up about his eating habits on America's Morning Show with Blair Garner on Wednesday.

When asked how he lost the weight, Blake joked: 'Well you know, you should try the divorce diet.'

The Voice star believes that it isn't the actual split that has been the problem but handling everything moving forward.

He explained: 'You know I just think, not the actual break-up part, but just the whole stress of getting through all of that is just weird, I was eating as many fried pickles and stuff.

'No I am doing great, but it's just I wasn't eating as much I guess. I wasn't like going to the gym, just stay as busy as you can to keep your mind off anything.'

The television personality and his country singer wife Miranda Lambert announced their divorce back in July.

Blake opened up even more about his weight loss and gave rather simple advice according to a Tuesday E! News report.

A rep for the Sangria singer said: 'He's doing the two things he hates to do—diet and exercise.'

The focus just hasn't been on how good the singer looks but there have also been recent reports that he has been headed down a dangerous road since the split.

However, according to a People report from Wednesday, the God Gave Me You hitmaker is just doing fine.

A source for the weekly said: 'It's simply a case of Blake having supersized this persona of him and drinking.'

The rumour mill has also been whirling as he has been romantically linked to his fellow judge on The Voice, Gwen Stefani, who recently became single after a 13 year marriage to rocker Gavin Rossdale.

Blake and Gwen are said to be in the early stages of a blossoming romance and, despite their attempts to keep it 'on the down-low,' their flirtatious behavior at work has people 'buzzing,' according to Life & Style.

Blake filed for divorce from singer Miranda Lambert on July 20 after four years of marriage, after he reportedly received information that she had been unfaithful, TMZ reported. Miranda denied the accusation.

Gwen decided to end her 13-year marriage to Gavin Rossdale because she believed he had 'cheated' on her, according to TMZ.

An insider told Life & Style: 'They're trying to keep it on the down-low, but it's not happening partly because they're all over each other.

'The chemistry between them is off the charts. Everyone on set sees that Blake and Gwen are falling for one another.'

They both just ended their respective marriages, and 'the pain they've endured' from rumours of their spouses cheating has provided Blake and Gwen something to commiserate over.
