After a brief break in the homeland, David Beckham and good friend Dave Gardner touched down in New York City on Wednesday.

The former footballer and the father-of-two sported contrasting monochrome outfits as they were spotted striding through the terminal of John F. Kennedy International Airport.

David, 40, donned a plain white T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans while Dave was dressed in all black for their long-haul flight from London to NYC.

The father-of-four appeared to have recruited his best mate - who first met when they were aspiring teenage footballers - as a personal luggage-carrier.

While David carried a sizeable backpack on his back, Dave was tasked with carrying the heftier items.

The boyfriend of Liv Tyler carried a black leather holdall and a large tour-style black box as the duo made their way to their getaway car.

It's been a busy few weeks for David Beckham, who was proudly sitting on the front row when Victoria presented her Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection on the runway in New York, then headed back to London to help her celebrate the anniversary of her Dover Street store.

And he's really clocking up the air miles this month! He was spotted landing at JFK with BFF Dave Gardner and he's got the art of travelling in style down to a T.

The ex-England captain exposed his heavily-tattooed arms in his short-sleeved T which he paired with good-fitting jeans and black trainers.

Meanwhile, Dave, opted for a smarter look which comprised black jeans, black and grey striped denim shirt, black cardigan and matching leather lace up boots.

It's not yet known why David and Dave are in New York or if the rest of the Beckham family plan to join them.

Surprisingly, David showed no sign of the morning after the night before after having partied until the late hours of Tuesday evening at wife Victoria's star-studded party to celebrate the one-year anniversary of her Dover Street boutique.

The former Posh Spice, 41, was seen clinging onto her doting husband to avoid taking a tumble down the stairs in her towering stiletto heels.

Dressed in all black, Victoria appeared to have a distinct stain on her crotch which has since been confirmed as a result of a champagne spillage while celebrating the store's success over the last 12 months.
