  • Italian says it seems players 'don't want pizza' and may improve his offer
  • Leicester are second in the Premier League with three wins and two draws
  • Foxes have the joint highest tally with 11 but have leaked seven goals

Claudio Ranieri has offered to buy all his players a pizza if they keep a clean sheet in the game against Stoke – but thinks he may have to raise the reward to include a hot dog too.

Leicester are riding high in the Premier League, second in the table after three wins and two draws, with Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy impressing in an attack that has found the net 11 times.

But the side are yet to stop an opponent from scoring, allowing Sunderland and Aston Villa to get two goals apiece at the King Power Stadium.

Ranieri is keen for a clean sheet and is opting for carrot rather than stick.

'I’ve told the players that when we keep a clean sheet, then I’ll pay for pizza for everybody,’ said the Leicester manager.

'I want to buy them pizza. But maybe my players don’t want pizza it seems! Maybe they don’t like it.

'Perhaps they’re waiting for me to say they okay, I’ll give you a big dinner instead! Maybe they want me to improve the offer - a pizza and a hot dog perhaps.’
