Kim Kardashian gave her swollen ankles a rest from high heels while San Diego on Wednesday.

The pregnant reality TV star was spotted shuffling out of a hotel in cosy white slippers with her daughter North West in tow.

She appeared to be opting for comfort over style, after wearing tight black strappy heels to a family birthday dinner on Tuesday night, which left clear marks on her ankles.

Kicking off her heels: Kim Kardashian shuffled out of a San Diego hotel in slippers on Wednesday

Kim is currently on a family trip to San Diego where she celebrated grandmother Mary Jo's 81st birthday on Tuesday night.

Along with her slippers, the 34-year-old wore a tight black dress and long, flowing cover-all.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wore her dark hair parted in the center.

Family time: The reality star was pictured with her daughter North in tow

Little North wore a matching black dress with tie sleeves, and her pretty curls were pulled up in a top-knot.

The two-year-old held onto her protective mom's hand as they left their San Diego hotel on Wednesday.

It's little wonder Kim finally opted for comfort, after the five-months-pregnant reality star wore a pair of tight heels to dinner the night before.

Kim is expecting her second child, a boy, with rapper husband Kanye West in December.

The stylish reality star has previously refused to give up her beloved high heels even while heavily pregnant.

Also leaving the hotel was North's cousin and playmate Penelope, the three-year-old daughter of Kim's sister Kourtney Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.

A female companion carried tired Penelope as the group left the hotel on their way back to Los Angeles.

Also on Wednesday, Kim shared an adorable photo of North grinning and holding candy as she stands in a room filled with West's minimalist fashion designs.

Kim captioned the cute photo 'Daddy's office.'

The photo appeared to have been taken during New York Fashion Week, where the rapper showed his second Yeezy clothing collection.

And despite the photo of North with her candy haul, Khloe Kardashian revealed on Wednesday that Kim is the strictest mom in the family when it comes to giving the kids sweet treats.

While Khloe likes to spoil sister Kourtney Kardashian's children, Mason, five, Penelope, three, and nine-month-old Reign, 'rotten with Lucky Charms and cookies,' she has to sneak 'fun food' to North, she told fans on her new website and app KhloeWithAK.

'(Kim's) a little more strict with North,' said Khloe.

In a post on her newly-launched website and app, Khloe also said she loves being 'the wild aunt.'

'I love everything about being an aunt. All four of my nieces and nephews come to my house at least three times a week,' she said. 'They say it takes a village to raise a child - that couldn't be more true. We all have so much fun helping raise each other's kids.

'I just think it's so great to have so many eyes and ears on the kids so that they're raised with respect for themselves and for others. What I'm loving most is getting to see those four individual personalities really come out. I love them!!!'

And the fun-loving reality star considers herself 'the wild aunt.'

'I'm just really playful and I guess you could say I'm the 'wild aunt.' But honestly, I like that they view me like that,' she told fans on her website.
