Their characters in gritty new sci-fi film The Martian are less than glamorous.

So Kate Mara and Kristen Wiig ensured they brought their sartorial A-game to the film's premiere in London on Thursday night.

The actresses were flashing the flesh in an abundance as they stormed the red carpet at the European launch of the Ridley Scott-directed movie.

Kristen Wiig attended the premiere of her latest film, The Martian, in a sweet little dress by Valentino and a matching pair of glittering sequin pumps.
