It's something all working mothers can relate to - the difficulty of leaving a baby when the job calls.

And it's probably doubly hard for Zoe Saldana as she has twins, Bowie and Cy, who are only 10 months old.

On Thursday, the in-demand actress posted a snap of herself hugging her boys on Instagram, which she captioned: 'Hard to leave even for a little bit, but Mamá has to go to work :-) #twins #workingmoms.'

On this occasion, the 37-year-old was heading off to co-host a luncheon with celebrity stylist Petra Flannery for designer Joseph Altuzarra at the Beverly Hills branch of Barneys New York.

Zoe looked chic in a cream dress with a fitted bodice and toggle buttons going down from the neckline at an angle to the drop waistline where the skirt was pleated.

She teamed the frock with cream pumps, tied at the toes and ankles.

Zoe Saldana took a break from mommy duty when she stepped out for a luncheon at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills.

The Avatar star joined stylist Petra Flannery and Joseph Altuzarra for the event in which she wore one of the NY based designer's looks from the Spring 2016 collection.

We adore the modest button front dress and ankle strap shoes, but what we're really craving is her saddle bag. With it's braided strap, tassel detail and smooth leather finish, we're sure we'll be seeing much more of this carryall this Fall.

Petra opted for a blue dress with a deep v-neck and split up the side, while Joseph was casually clad in a dark blue polo shirt, jeans and black shoes.

They were joined by guests including Mad Men's January Jones, who wore a white blouse with a yellow pencil skirt and gladiator sandals.

Fortunately, Zoe has her devoted husband Marco Perego and a team of assistants to help her out when she has to go out.

She and the Italian artist secretly married in June 2013 in London, just three months after they started dating.

Meanwhile, leaving the twins is something Zoe is going to have to get used to as she has an enormously hectic schedule ahead of her.

She has major roles in three of the new millennium's biggest franchises, Avatar, Star Trek and Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy, all of which are lining up sequels that will keep her busy into 2019.

And on Thursday she signed with DreamWorks Animation to produce content for Awestruck, AwesomenessTV’s soon-to-launch network and lifestyle brand targeting millennial moms, according to The Wrap.

Cinestar, the production company Zoe runs with her sisters Mariel and Cisely, will executive produce two series and create a YouTube Channel for Awestruck, which is due to debut in the fall,.

'With modern moms on-the-go and online, the opportunity to create content specifically for them is exciting,' Zoe said in a statement.
