Actress Kate Winslet has voiced her fears for controversial singer Miley Cyrus

Kate Winslet fears that Miley Cyrus has lost her way. The Oscar-winning actress rose to fame as a teenager and credits being comfortable in her own skin as the reason she's stayed so grounded.

But Kate recently voiced her concerns over young people growing up in the glare of the media spotlight.

"You hear horror stories where you think, 'God, who's looking after these people and why does it seem like they're losing their way?' I mean, you think about someone like Miley Cyrus."

"I said to my daughter the other day, 'I'm this close to opening my mouth about what's going on with that girl,'" Kate told Psychologies magazine.

Kate, who married Richard Branson's nephew Ned Rocknroll in 2012, is mother to Mia (13), Joe (10) and newborn Bear and all she wants for her children is for them to be happy with who they are.

Also, she's grateful that her fame came before the rise of social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook. -

Cuoco weds in pink

Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting tied the knot on New Year's eve. The bride took the refreshingly unpretentious route and wore a pink strapless tulle ball gown by Vera Wang to swap vows with Sweeting.

Among the 150 friends and family members at the fire-and-ice-themed reception, Cuoco's The Big Bang Theory co-star (and real life ex-boyfriend) Johnny Galecki was also present.

He told E!News that he was "terribly happy" for her. The morning after the wedding, Cuoco wrote on Instagram, "Greatest night of my entire life :)" -

Juanita Moore dies

Juanita Moore, a groundbreaking actress and an Academy Award nominee for her role as Lana Turner's friend in the classic weeper Imitation of Life, has died.

Actor Kirk Kelleykahn, her grandson, said that Moore collapsed and died on Wednesday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 99, according to Kellykahn.

Moore was only the fifth black performer to be nominated for an Oscar, receiving the nod for the glossy Douglas Sirk film that became a big hit and later gained a cult following. -
