She sparked rumours of a split when she walked the Emmys red carpet solo last weekend.

And on Wednesday, January Jones was seen treating herself to some retail therapy as she headed to Zimmermann Melrose Place in West Hollywood, California.

The 37-year-old - who is said to have ended her five-month romance with Last Man On Earth co-star Will Forte - appeared to be in great and content spirits during the low-key outing.

Turning heads as she passed by, the American beauty looked stylish in a pair of high-waisted denim jeans and a plunging grey vest by Z Supply.

She toted her belongings in a large orange leather handbag, while strolling along the streets in chic strappy sandals.

With her glossy blonde tresses swept into a neat ponytail, January concealed her eyes with an obligatory set of black shades, while keeping her face free from makeup.

According to Us Weekly, the mother-of-one separated from Will, 45, last month.

The American actors met on set of their post-apocalyptic series The Last Man on Earth and began dating in April, after production wrapped up the show's first series.

They appeared to confirm the split when January headed to the Emmys on her own, while the Saturday Night Live star took his mother as his date.

Meanwhile, the Mad Men actress - who found fame as Betty Draper in the hit AMC series - helped her on-screen husband Jon Hamm celebrate his Emmy win for Lead Actor In A Drama Series.

She shared a photo on her Instagram of herself with Hamm holding his award and simply captioned it: 'Finally'.

Elsewhere, Forte was nominated for an Emmy for Lead Actor In A Comedy Series but lost out at Sunday's ceremony in Los Angeles to veteran actor Jeffrey Tambor.
