Anthony Anderson's wife has filed for divorce.

Alvina Anderson cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split with the 45-year-old Blackish star, according to a Friday report from TMZ. And the separation took place in April 2014, it was stated.

The couple were high school sweethearts and were married for 20 years.

They have two children together, daughter Kyra, aged 19, and son Nathan, aged 15.

She's asking for joint legal custody of the minor and primary physical custody, with Anthony getting 'reasonable visitation,' the site added.

Alvina is asking for spousal support.

Anderson hosts a show on the Food Network, Carnival Cravings with Anthony Anderson.

Anderson grew up in Compton, California, and was educated at Hollywood High School Performing Arts then Howard University.

He started doing stand-up at the Comedy Act Theater which led to a role on NYPD Blue and Malcolm & Eddie.

He then went on to appear on Law & Order and The Shield.

As far as films he has been in The Deaprted with Leonardo DiCaprio and Scream 4.
