Actor De'aundre Bonds hospitalized with bloody facial injuries after reports he was beaten unconscious by gang

Actor De'aundre Bonds has been hospitalized after he was beaten and left on the side of the road, according to reports.

The Wood actor was jumped by a gang of attackers in Los Angeles around midnight on Thursday, and suffered brutal facial injuries,TMZ claims. 

However, Bonds has denied he was attacked by a gang, writing on Instagram 'I did not get jump last night!!'

The images, taken in hospital and published on TMZ, show Bonds with bloody injuries and bruising on his face.

The images show a gaping wound over his eyebrow, and a gash above his nose. 

Bonds was left unconscious by the side of the road, until a friend happened to drive by and recognized him, he apparently said.

He was then taken to hospital, where doctors gave him eight stitches across his eyebrow and another two stitches on a gash above his nose.

The actor, who was seen in acclaimed comedy Dope this summer, allegedly says he doesn't know his attackers.

Bonds served nearly a decade in prison after being convicted of manslaughter in the stabbing death of his aunt's boyfriend, Anthony Matthews, in 2001. He was released in March, 2011.

The Los Angeles-born actor and rapper also has been seen in Spike Lee film Get On The Bus, as well as Gangster Squad and Tales From The Hood. 

He has guest starred on TV series including NYPD Blue, Picket Fences, Rizzoli & Isles and Touched By An Angel.
