Roses at the ready! Hunky Ben Higgins starts filming The Bachelor... and poses for a cute photo with the show creator's baby

It has been just two months since fans watched him get his heart broken by Kaitlyn Bristowe on The Bachelorette.

And it’s already Ben Higgins’ turn to begin his journey to finding love, and hopefully his future wife.

Thursday marked night one of The Bachelor’s 20th season, with the 27-year-old finally getting to meet the 25 women who will be vying for his heart.

While he was no doubt feeling nervous, Ben kept his cool as he stood outside the Bachelor mansion and cuddled show creator Mike Fleiss’s  baby, also called Ben.

The software salesman could be seen wearing a dapper black tuxedo as he held the tot in his arms – and promptly made women across the country swoon.

‘The Bens on night one!’ Mike captioned the photo, which he shared on Twitter.

The 51-year-old welcomed his son with wife of one year and former Miss America Laura Kaeppeler, 27, in May.

Ben said last month that he is excited to start his search for love, telling People: ‘I'm ready to share my life with somebody.

‘And I'm not fearful of the idea of getting married. As soon as I can find that person, it seems like the better life will be.’

After he was announced as the new Bachelor, the hunk made an appearance on Bachelor In Paradise, where Amy Schumer congratulated him (and also propositioned him for phone sex).

Ben came in third place on Kaitlyn’s season of The Bachelorette, with Shawn Booth going the whole way. His season premieres on January 4.

Out of the 19 Bachelor and 11 Bachelorette seasons to date, there have been just five marriages (three of which have come out of The Bachelorette), while Kaitlyn and Shawn are still happily engaged.
