X-Men co-stars Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan put on a cosy display after enjoying chicken lunch in London

They wrapped filming for their first film together last month.

And Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan appeared to be keeping their close friendship going beyond a professional capacity as they were spotted enjoying a lunch outing in London on Thursday.

The X-Men: Apocalypse actors - who play Jean Grey and Cyclops, respectively - put on a cosy display as they emerged from the Oxford Street branch of popular high-street restaurant chain Nando's.

Tye, 18, played the perfect gentleman, leading Sophie, 19, out of the eatery.

The duo then strolled down the length of the Central London street arm-in-arm.

It's unclear who prompted the sweet gesture but Tye and Sophie mirrored each other, placing an affectionate arm around the other.

The Game of Thrones redhead - who plays Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy series - radiated happiness as she enjoyed the company of her co-star off set.

She was dressed in a cool-casual all-black ensemble which comprised black ripped skinny jeans, V-neck vest top and a leather biker jacket.

She added a pair of baseball-style camo-print trainers and a skinny belt and secured her luscious ginger locks off her face with a pair of designer sunglasses.

Meanwhile, Tye's representatives are yet to respond to a request for comment.

Sophie and Tye star alongside each other in the ninth installment of the X-Men film series which is scheduled for release in North America on May 27 next year.

Talking about his character, he told Indiewire: 'It's forced me to use everything I've learned playing all the characters I have. My character is angry and a bit lost, which I feel like is where I've met a lot of my characters... the arc for the character is really cool for me.'

Meanwhile, Sophie is convinced she was cast after the producers saw the similarities between characters Jean and her role as Sansa in GOT.

She told IGN: 'I think maybe one of the reasons that they chose me for [Jean] is because they saw the dark side of Sansa. Maybe they're thinking, 'Oh, Phoenix, Jean Grey.' I definitely see a lot of parallels in there.

'[Jean] struggles with her power... and not being accepted in the human world. I think in terms of [GOT], that's kind of the way Sansa felt in that she really wanted to be a normal princess/queen and live a normal life - and she doesn't, because of all this havoc happens. I think Jean, in a way, feels that.'

Jennifer Lawrence and ex-boyfriend - Brit actor Nicholas Hoult - also star in the superhero movie.
