Kerry Washington wore a sexy leather top and short skirt as she attended a Q&A in New York on Friday.

The Scandal star looked gorgeous in the black sleeveless top and short floral skirt which showed off her toned legs as she stopped by AOL Builds to discuss the new season of Scandal and her anti-domestic violence work on Friday.

The actress paired her edgy leather look with a flirty floral skirt, and added cute silver T-strap heels.

She wore her dark hair up in a chic high braid, and played up her features with soft mauve eyeshadow and a pink glossy lip.

The Ray actress added delicate hoop earrings and flashed three rings on each hand as she expertly struck a confident pose.

Kerry appeared to be in a good mood, after her hit show Scandal returned for season five on ABC on Thursday.

Scandal is back (!!) and Kerry Washington is making her rounds to promote the new season. The brunette beauty stopped by the AOL Build show looking fashion forward in a floral print skirt by Dorothee Schumacher.

The German designer established her label in 1989 and showed her Spring collection (which included elegant florals and a fresh take on mixed prints) at Berlin Fashion Week back in July.

And the new season got off with a bang, starting with a montage of steamy sex scenes as her character Olivia Pope rolled in the sack with handsome President Fitzgerald Grant, played by Tony Goldwyn.

In real life, Washington is married to former NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha. The pair wed in June, 2013, and welcomed their daughter Isabelle in late April, 2014.

On Thursday, the mother-of-one was over the moon to catch a glimpse of her 'celebrity crush' Pope Francis during his New York visit.

Speaking out: Washington spoke about Scandal and her work against domestic violence at the AOL Studios in New York on Friday

The actress had just dashed outside after speaking at anti-domestic violence and financial abuse event for Allstate's The Purple Purse Foundation in New York.

Washington is the group's ambassador, and is helping the fight against financial and domestic abuse by designing a purple purse for the group that retails for $350 online at Saks. com.

A quarter of the proceeds will go to 160 domestic violence charities across the US,People reports.

Later, the Django Unchained star popped into The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, carrying her purple purse and smiling at fans.
