They navigate everything life throws at them together but their friendship is put to the ultimate test when Milly discovers she has breast cancer.
Talking to Lorraine in London last week, the Australian actress admitted the cast and filmmakers were desperate 'not to misrepresent the experience of having cancer', which meant she was forced to shave her head five times.
Asked why she chose to take up the role, Drew said it wasn't the most convenient timing for her as she'd just had a baby but the fact it involved working so closely with her good friend Toni persuaded her to accept the offer.

She told her live on air: 'I came here to London to be with you. I love you and believe in you and I wanted you to know that I literally have your back with this.'
Despite the emotional plot, Toni maintained the film's underlying message is a positive one.
'It's not a Debbie Downer, it's a celebration of life,' she said.
On working with Toni, Drew added: 'We really are just having the best time.'
