From bleaching below the belt to disguising dadbod with Spanx, Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle site Goop fires back at Stephen Colbert with spoof male beauty treatments

  • Colbert recently took a jab at celebrity brands by announcing in a parody video that he was launching his own range of 'random, expensive things'
  • Paltrow gave The Late Show host a taste of his own medicine with the spoof posting Six Fail-Proof Tips for Launching a Men's Lifestyle Site
  • The actress' team also offered tips to rapper Snoop Dogg, who revealed earlier this week that he launched a lifestyle website devoted to cannabis

Gwyneth Paltrow may get made fun of for the esoteric advice she offers on her website Goop - such as suggesting that women steam-clean their vaginas - but the actress showed that she and her team don't take themselves too seriously when she offered Stephen Colbert and Snoop Dogg advice on how to break into the men's lifestyle space.

In the post Six Fail-Proof Tips for Launching a Men's Lifestyle Site, the 42-year-old's site offered advice on the latest in men's beauty treatments from bleaching bits below the belt to dressing dadbod.

The post was undoubtedly in response to 51-year-old Colbert’s recent parody video in which he took a jab at celebrity lifestyle brands by announcing the launch of his own range of 'random, expensive things'

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg, 43, revealed earlier this week launched a new lifestyle website devoted to cannabis, claiming it will be an encyclopedia on the drug.

Gwyneth and her team first reminded the men that 'all eyes are on you now' before they suggested some topics they can discuss on their lifstyle sites.

'It’s said that we here at Goop subsist solely on seaweed, air, and Tracy Anderson DVDs, butt when all else fails, we have some tricks up our sleeves,' they noted. 'After all, hipsters - and the dad bods that dress like them - know there’s only one bulge that belongs under your skinny suit.

'We hear that aerial yoga is really good for those moobs and not-so-manly muffin tops, but failing that, there’s always Spanx for men.'

Next, they told Colbert and Snoop Dogg to 'get good at telling people to do' while encouraging them to capitalize on 'evergreen beauty content' to get more traffic to the site.

Colbert recently took a jab at A-list celebrities like Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Blake Lively to make fun of the trend of celebrity lifestyle brands.

'I’m launching my own, personal, curate-able lifestyle brand tonight,' he said last week on The Late Show when introducing audiences to a fake brand called Covetton House.

'Stop by Covetton House today, and treat you to some me,' he says in a parody promo clip. 'In fact, I envy you, because unlike you, I never had a me to tell me what I like.'

Paltrow has been mocked for postings in the past on her website, where she offers unusual fashion and fitness tips including The Secrets of the Pelvic Floor, in which she suggests squatting down and peeing in the shower.

Other controversial columns include the one in which she suggested that women should steam-clean their vaginas.
