'Oh, yeah, she's a good kisser': Angela Bassett, 57, dishes on puckering up with Lady Gaga, 29, in steamy scene for American Horror Story

There must be thousands, possibly millions, of fans who would love to make out with Lady Gaga, 29.

But Angela Bassett, 57, never expected that she would be the one to kiss the girl in the fifth season of American Horror Story: Hotel - and she wasn't at all sure she'd like it. But she needn't have worried.

'Oh, yeah, she's a good kisser,' the actress told the ladies of Access Hollywood on Friday, revealing that she had never smooched a woman before that scene.

She added: 'I'm an actress and professional you have to dive into in the moment. But before, you're like, "Oh my god, I've just met her, she's a superstar." What are you going to do?

'But she's the nicest person, she is warm, she is gracious, she's funny. She makes everybody feel comfortable, she's comfortable with herself, so no one's tripping - except for me.'

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, went out of her way to make Angela feel at ease at a party she threw before filming began on what happened to be the actress's 57th birthday in August.

'She had on this beautiful gown, sort of see through and vintage and a diamond necklace,' Angela shared.

'And I'm just trying to be cool and she says, "Are you nervous? I hear you're nervous," and I said yes. "Oh, don't be nervous, I know about these things, I've been there." '

Angela shrank back in her chair, replicating her reply with a high pitched 'Oookay!'

The crooner also got her co-star a birthday cake and Angela shrieked with laughter when she recalled her reaction to the dessert.

'I looked at it and what she's doing to me on this cake, well, I have pictures of an X-rated cake! I said,  "Would that be foreplay?" ' as the hosts reeled with laughter on the couch.

In the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Hotel Angela plays Ramona Royale, an actress who is the lover of Gaga's character, the Countess, the owner of the Hotel Cortez, a glamorous but deadly creature who lives on a healthy diet of sex and blood.
