Gordon and Tana Ramsay put on a sweet display of affection as they enjoy dinner and theatre date night in London

They're often seen flitting across the world, spending their time between the US and the UK.

But on Friday night, Gordon and Tana Ramsay were back on home turf, the two of them putting on a sweet display of their long-term love as they headed out for a date.

The TV chef and his wife opted for similar casual outfits as they headed out in London, first of all for dinner and then going along to watch a West End play.

With their hands joined, they emerged on the dark streets as they made their way from the J Sheekey Restaurant and to the Noel Coward Theatre nearby in the Covent Garden area of town.

Gordon, 48, led his lady as he strode ahead, rocking a pair of black jeans and a simple white t-shirt under a grey blazer.

Tana, 41, opted for a similar look for the evening, showing off her slim pins in a pair of skin-tight black jeans with a sleeveless white blouse.

She glammed it up a touch, though, adding a pair of pointed black court shoe heels to her look, while wearing her brunette mane in elegant open curls for the date night.

The couple, who have been married for almost 20 years and have four children together, looked as close as ever and in fantastic spirits, their relationship in the spotlight well and truly proving to have stood the test of time.

They had gone along to watch Nicole Kidman in her current run on the London stage in Photograph 51, for which the Australian A-lister has received rave reviews.

Meanwhile, the Kitchen Nightmares star is reported to have recently upped Tana's stake in his restaurant business empire.

It's thought that, as a sort of reward for her years of hard work and loyalty to him both in their marriage and professionally, Tana's shareholding in the business has increased from one share to 31,331.

This means her stake could now be worth as much as £4.1 million, with Gordon’s amounting to £23 million.

Also, Gordon recently shelled out over £4m on a brand new cottage in Rock, Cornwall for himself and Tana, and their children: Matilda, 13, twins Jack and Holly, 15 and Megan, 17.

The Ramsay family relocated from Britain to California in July, while still having a place in the UK, and have been settling in well to the LA way of life, embracing the healthy hobbies of the Hollywood elite.

Elsewhere in the family, Matilda, often known as Tilly, will showcase her culinary skills in brand new CBBC series Matilda & the Ramsay Bunch, cooking simple, fun recipes like burritos and cupcakes in the kitchen of their holiday home in the US.

Gordon, who is famed for his short temper and potty mouth, insists his mini-me won't be swearing in the new show, telling the Daily Mail, '[My children] know I’ve said bad words. I say it is an industry language. They don’t swear. They don’t walk around shouting the f-word.'
