But Kristen Wiig put on a seriously leggy display on her latest outing

The 42-year-old actress showed off her slim pins while out and about in New York on Saturday.

She wore a pair of tiny light blue denim shorts as part of a rather hipster chic ensemble while enjoying the solo stroll in the Big Apple.

Along with the ripped Daisy Dukes she wore a pair of brown suede booties which ended just above the ankles.

The Bridesmaids actress also sported a brown knit sweater over a white vest and a heather grey sports bra.

Kristen accessorised with a black beanie and designer shades with a clear plastic frame. Her blonde locks were worn down as she sported natural, complimentary make-up on her face.

Kristen's look was very sexy as she went for a short hemline in a stunning, floral skater dress by Valentino, with boasted a mesh top and an overlay of birds and garden prints.

The 42-year-old Bridesmaids actress lengthened her astonishing legs with the addition of glittering sky-high heels.

She swept her hair off her face in a low-key, plaited style and sported smokey-eye make-up to add a sultry feel to the whimsical look.

She and co-star Kate Mara were joined at the event by the movie's leading man, Matt Damon, who plays Mark Watney in the film based on the book by Andy Weir, who looked dapper in plain black suit.

In-keeping with Matt's black look was Jessica Chastain, who put on a busty display in a glimmering gown by Ellie Saab.

The Martian is set for release on Wednesday in the UK followed by a US release on October 2.
