She's known for her strong sense of individuality, and Raven-Symoné certainly showed it off on Friday night. 

The 29-year-old The View panelist was seeing red when she attended the Urbanworld Film Festival in New York City. 

The actress donned a vivid scarlet jacket adorned with badges, patches, yellow pom-poms and chains.

And she had a very clear message in her hand; 'mean people suck' read the writing on her white clutch bag. 

The That's so Raven star added a bang-on-trend pair of satin black parachute pants, finished off with mesh boots at the AMC Empire 25 theater. 

Her ginger quiff made sure she was unmistakably Raven - as she showed off her pretty peepers with a smokey kohl eye.

The Cosby Show star was fresh from a night out with Mariah Carey earlier in the week. 

The 45-year-old singer had gathered a few A-List pals to watch the season 2 premiere of Empire. 

Raven starred in the last season and Mariah is now set to grace the screen in the latest episodes of the Fox drama.
