The Hollywood actor and his human rights lawyer wife Amal Alamuddin are mid-way through revamping their immaculate nine-bedroom bolthole in the Berkshire village of Sonning, near Reading, into an immaculate family home, complete with a home cinema and 360-degree security. The pair, who married last year in a lavish four-day ceremony, are installing a new 60ft swimming pool, surrounded in reclaimed York stone, complete with a pool house at the Grade II-listed property. A pergola, hot tub and 12-seater cinema will also be installed, while builders are also erecting 10 CCTV cameras along the mansion's perimeter. Each new camera will be housed in a protective vandal-resistant dome and could be tilted or panned to face in any direction, allowing the celebrity couple to keep watch all around their property. New boundary fencing is also being added around the riverside estate while new solid gates fitted for added privacy and security. There will also be a furhter eight wooden poles - measuring 18ft - with extra cameras.

Hunter Montgomery (left), the 19-year-old son of country music singer Eddie Montgomery (right), has died. The father-of-one died in hospital in Kentucky today after an unexplained accident earlier this week. Eddie, of the country duo Montgomery Gentry, released a heartbreaking statement, which said: 'My son Hunter went to heaven today.'.

A Ben Carson staffer gave CNN's Jake Tapper the hook after the newsman continued to press the presidential candidate on the controversial statement he made about Muslims one week ago. 'This interview is over,' a staffer's voice is heard from off screen, cutting off an exchange between Carson and Tapper on Sunday's State of the Union. Tapper was asking the retired neurosurgeon if he still meant what he said about Muslims.

Charlotte Clinton-Mezvinsky turned one year old on Saturday and was thrown a balloon-filled birthday bash at Apple Seeds in New York City, which was attended by her mom Chelsea Clinton and grandparents Bill and Hillary Clinton. Brandon Buell responded to criticism in a heartfelt Facebook post Saturday night, saying his wife and his decision to keep their severely disabled son was 'our choice, and only our choice'. Brandon and Brittany Buell's one-year-old son Jaxon is missing most of his skull and brain and doctors had given the couple the option to abort at 23 weeks. However, Brandon spoke out against those who would have had them terminate the pregnancy by saying 'we only had one shot to do everything we could for him'.

As prosecutors prepare for the murder trial, the mourning teenager uploaded pictures of her brother, mother and father to Facebook along with heartfelt messages. Alongside a picture of Philip (center), she wrote: 'Would do anything to see that smile again. Love and miss you.' She also shared an image of her as a child with her mother (right) and revealed one of her favorite sayings was: 'In a while crocodile'. She then wrote: 'Thank you for being the best mom I could have ever asked for. I love you mommy and will miss you everyday.'

Bailey Reyes wrote on Twitter that she had lost the 'love of my life' after Warren Hills Regional High School quarterback Evan Murray passed away late Friday night. The 17-year-old felt 'woozy' after the hit but reportedly tried reassuring his teammates he would be fine as he was taken away by ambulance around halftime. Pintauro, who grew up in front of an audience as Jonathan Bower on popular 1980s sitcom Who's The Boss? (pictured with his co-stars, right), said he has been living with the secret for 12 years. In an interview aired on Saturday night's episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?, he explained why he is finally ready to speak publicly about his health. He told Oprah: 'I wanted to tell you this a long time ago, but I wasn't ready. I'm ready now, I'm HIV-positive and I have been for 12 years.'

There is a 'real possibility' the football-sized sinkhole which swallowed a Queensland beach in minutes is still growing and will cause more catastrophic damage along the coastline. Footage emerged on Sunday of holidaymakers scrambling to save themselves when the 150m long sinkhole opened up at 11pm on Saturday near Queensland's Rainbow Beach. The cause of the sinkhole is currently unknown and experts tells The Australian , it's the second time in just four years the holiday spot has collapsed.

Paradise Park was a popular vacation spot for African-American families from all over the country in the age of segregation in the South. It was the 'colored only' counterpart to the popular Silver Springs attraction, located about a mile down the Silver River near Ocala, Florida. 'Paradise Park was an oasis where black Americans could go with their families and relax, safe from the indignities and threats of violence perpetrated by the whites,' Lu Vickers told Slate.com. Vickers wrote Remembering Paradise Park, which was published this month, with Cynthia Wilson-Graham, compiling photographs, advertisements and interviews with the park's employees and visitors.

Susan Shannon (left) first alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Army Colonel Wil Riggins in 1986 while they were both cadets in New York state on her blog in 2013. Pope Francis met with a family who made a 13,000-mile trip over 194 days from Argentina to Philadelphia in an old Volkswagen van just to meet him - and he said they were crazy. The Pontiff spent time with fellow Argentinians Catire Walker and Noel Zemborain and their four children and was touched by their experience, said Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi. They got a phone call at 6am on Sunday asking them to go to St. Charles Borromeo Seminary to sit down with him on the last day of his U.S. trip. Working in a dingy room under a dim light with rusty scalpels and outdated medicines - these rare pictures give an insight into a North Korean operating theatre. They were taken by international medical student Josiah Cha who visited the secretive communist state on an exchange trip. He said the doctors were 'incredible, humble and loving people' but described the equipment used by the surgical teams as basic. He observed worn scalpels being used for operations and a large surgical light hanging precariously loose over an operating theatre.

A full-grown great white shark washed up on a Cape Cod beach this weekend and officials are stumped as to how it ended up dead on land. The 12-foot male was found late Saturday on Pleasant Road Beach in Harwich, Mass. and, while it was dead when it was discovered, it was unclear whether it washed up that way. 'It's different from the last two situations where the shark was still alive,' Cynthia Wingren, president of the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, told the Cape Cod Times.

Internet commenters pointed out the difference between turtles and tortoises after a woman supposedly posted an video on Snapchat 'saving' a gopher tortoise that she thought was a turtle. The woman wearing a name tag that says 'Kimberly' tells her viewers to help save turtles before launching the tortoise into a roadside pond. Gopher tortoises cannot swim and the animal may have died as a result of the mistaken rescue.

Sunken treasure has been discovered submerged near a port by divers conducting a harbour clean-up. Everything that shines in this story is gold, as the divers hauled up nearly 900 coins during the project. The 99 Crew Dive Team had been cleaning up the waters near a wharf in Wellington Harbour, New Zealand, when they discovered the treasure trove.
