And Alanis Morissette could not have looked more like those angry heartbroken lyrics are far behind her as she put on a loved-up display in Malibu on Sunday. 

The 41-year-old singer giddily cuddled up to her husband of five years, Mario 'Souleye' Treadway, 35, as they stopped to pick up an organic juice together.

The You Oughta Know hit-maker looked to be glowing as she stepped out make-up free, unable to contain her wide smile. 

She flashed her legs in a pair of navy starry shorts, with a casual grey splattered t-shirt. 

The youthful star flashed her tiger tattoo as she coyly put her arm to her neck, while her husband wrapped a protective arm around her shoulder.

She carried her 'phone is a chain-strap cross-body bag and completed her off-duty look with white sneakers. 

The Canadian-born songstress tamed her bountiful chestnut waves into a loose-up do.  

Her rapper husband showed off a large indigenous-inspired necklace over a grey tee and cargo shorts.

They stepped out without their son, Ever, who turns five on December 25. 

Alanis sold 16 million copies of her first album in the US when it was released - and 33 million worldwide. 

She married Mario 'Souleye' in a private ceremony at their Los Angeles home in 2010, after previously breaking off a 3 year engagement to actor Ryan Reynolds in 2007.
